Is it a true 2 wheel drive? How rusty is it? The craigslist link went to a chevelle. (Edit: I just realized what you said about the ad. I need to read better.) Any idea how much he'd take for it? I really need two of these!

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I got word yesterday morning that my wife's grandfather died so she's off to Arkansas and I'm watching one of my kids. With that and Thanksgiving coming I doubt I'll get time to look at it. Don't really need another anyway. Could be a good deal for someone depending on the rust and how much Blazer specific stuff is there and good. If anyone has questions about what to look for on these let me know.

Looks like a factory 2wd. A 2wd swap on one of these would be a pita.. going from leaf sprung to coil spring w/ control arm.... Rust is almot always an issue on these old chevy's. Inner / outer rockers, front of the inner fender, core supports, cab corners... ughh. At least all the parts are readily available for them. I had a 72 4wd that was rough to say the least.. never should have never got rid of that one

The conversion is done more that you would think. 2 wheel drives are rare. Lot's of 4 wheelers were made. It's really not that hard to go from leaf to trailing arm/coil with a donor truck frame. People also keep the leafs and get creative dropping them.

Rust problems can be a bitch. On Blazers rocker boxes go, windshield frames rust bad. Rocker boxes are being made but the windshield frames are not and trucks aren't great donors. All these trucks have problems inside around the front kick panels, floor next to rockers, around rear wheel wells and around the heater / A/C box. Outside what you said plus the firewall seams.

This is all rust problems. There is other crap to worry about beyond that.

Blazers are a different beasts from pickups but they can be fun!
