Does any vehicle here use one of these injection systems, or need to know anything about them?

I think Paul (1iron) has methanol on his Mustang. Maybe he will chime in.

I spoke with some JDM guys at a fun ford event about a snow kit. They did not like them. They said they cause a lean spike when they are activated. They also said nitrous was a better choice.

A progressive alcohol kit is awesome for a forced induction engine. It helps you to be able to run more boost/timing without detonation (as long as everything is tuned properly). It makes 93 octane act like race gas. I was wondering if any of the Lightnings were running any of the kits. It will be worth about 80-100HP to me. I can turn the boost up another 5 or 6 #'s and not have to worry about my O2 sensor going bad after a tank of the "Good Gas/expensive gas". Plus it keeps the valves etc sweaky clean....no carbon build-up.

I run the snow system. I helps and makes me feel better but I only made 20 rwhp more. That is a tuned 20 rwhp to not just put in on and guess. I am running more timing with the meth and the A/F recomended by snow.

Are you running any type of forced induction?

10 psi V2-SQ.

20 RWHP is not bad at all.

Is the snow kit boost sensitive?

Yes it is. You set the start psi (4) and the 100% injection psi (8) and the amount of meth injection is ramped up over that period.

I'm thinking of running one for more of a safety net once the twins are done. Use a hobs switch or what ever and use it for anything over 8# maye even 6# in the summer. I am wondering if the normal washer fluid is as good they make it out to be though

Be careful with the washer fluid. They do no all have methanol in them. A 5 gal can of methanol is $30 dollars and most people use a 50/50 blend. The system is adjustable so you can set it to start at the boost you want.
