we were working along, and another family offered her a much newer/nicer truck, so here it is.

got a lot of sweat equity in it:

Not a bad looking truck at all. A decent set of rims and that would be really nice looking truck. I am partial to the older style trucks 2 tone paint.

Man, we tried 3 sets of rims and they would not fit

I heard advance sells different hubs to switch rims. :poke:

With purchase, does one get to keep the "Carolina Girl" license plate? If so, Carl may buy it today...

Should be 5 x 5.5 Bolt circle. Most of the older Ford (pre 1997) wheels should fit. The bolt pattern is the same but the hub size in the wheel is larger so they will fit the Fords and Dodge's and are typically easier to find.

added pics of the floor pans.

FWIW..and I do NOT know...i think the 85's had bigger lug patterns, we bought rotors/hubs for a 85, and they would not fit our existing rims (i think the center hub was 3.5 inches too)

so I had to re-order, and get 1984 rotors/hubs, and they fit, smaller bolt pattern, smaller center hub. they were all special order at advance

it's a NEAT truck at this price range.

we had it around the neighborhood today, runs straight, pulls good,
stops straight & hard.

needs a complete column from a junkyard, and a p steering pump, though

heres a video of it running:

she said $1250, come and get it.

we have been driving it around, I had it out on 78 last night, felt good ~45mph.

craigslist people are killing me, they obviously dont know that it's worth ~$500 in scrap weight, and then I don't have to deal with their incessant nagging

edit: i might park it at Carl's house, with the carolina girl plate showing. ..because race car!

A good ole truck is a good thing to have around. $1250 to have it around is worth it, just not having to borrow a truck to go get mulch, lumber for a home project, haul a fridge / washer and dryer... etc. Good luck with the sale.

Did you ever sell this truck?

yes.....for $1000

guy drove it to columbia...and half way back...

that ole girl was too tired to be out on the highway, and you can imagine how fast a 23y.o. guy was driving...
it prolly broke the oil pump or something: radiator, water pump, and thermostat & fluid were all new

so..now, it has the motor locked up.
he wants $500 for it, as it sits.

would need a 318 & a fair bit of work, but dang, alot of new parts there.
i have a trailer, could deliver for you.

on a another note, PM me your address, i have a NICE excel spread sheet to figure out fencing costs, you could use that in your work.
