Fiance wanted black rims for her car so i figured i would try and plasti-dip instead of buying rims first. I really like the look. Im going to get black lugs, black 5.0 emblems and paint the calipers some other color than stock. Pretty pleased with the outcome though. She is more pleased with this than the supercharger...:barf:

Its what she wanted. I liked the stock rims, but this was one of the deals of me putting a supercharger on her car. I have another set of stock rims at the house with drag radials and skinnies for when i want to drive it. :)

Good call........ I dont understand why people think black looks good on white, its just overdone to me and kinda looks dirty....
If she likes darker colors you should convince her DSG or like a goldish grey, I think that looks bad ass on white.

I just recieved an email back from plasti-dip. They do not have dark shadow gray yet, but becasue of the recent high demand for it, they will have it in spray cans within the next month available in order form only from them. It will be changed when that is released.

Looks great! I have been pleased with my rims for over a year now!
They are going to make a DSG huh....? I wonder if it would be too much on my truck? My buddy just got a white 3.35i that needs its wheels done. The DSG would be sick.

Might be close to DSG.

Check out the site, pretty cool.
I actually did some of the gold metalizer over black on the TBSS wheels. Always wondered what a bronz-ish color would look like, so I did it. Looks okay but I'm not a fan. Just haven't taken the time to peel it off since I'm not DD'ing it anymore and moving at the same time.
Did I not post the gold pic?

Would look good on a color other than black.

I gotta agree with you, the bronze wheels on that black tbss isn't the best look. Not to bad though....

Looks good, but instead of plasti-dipping the calipers.. what about polishing them? So they really show up through the wheels and leaving the chrome lugs? Break it up a little.

Not a bad idea at all. Polishing the calipers is a lot of work though...

x2. To each his or her own. The only thing about the black wheels is they don't show brake dust so bad and I wouldn't have to clean them as much.

I thought about putting my factory chromes back on with my black wheels. It came with black lug nuts but I'm starting to think it's a bit much.

I am putting chrome lugs on my black rims with the polished lip. When I had the ALL black rims on it was to much on my car. BUT I sold my wheels to a friend who put them on his black notch. The only chrome he has is lug nuts, the shiny SVT in the center caps and the 5.0 Emblems and his looks good.

Left the cap unpainted and kept the chrome lugs to offset all the black.

I'm not a fan of black either, but to hide brake dust is a good idea.

That place must be on the 1st floor on the left. My Doc office is upstairs. I've seen that mustang several times but it is usually parked in the CVS parking lot next door.
