Wanted to share both my 400's died in under a year on E85. These were the non-e85 pumps and well both my pumps crapped out so lesson learned. I tested them outside of the tank they run for about 30 second before coming to a stop. Really strange they failed together but if I had to guess one likely went out and the other soon followed.

My old walbro's 255s ran for over 4 years with no issues, they were also not e85 rated however worked fine.

Wanted to share this info. Make sure you run the new e85 approved pumps.

Didn't you run a BAP on them?

Looking at the Walbro 450's/e85 pumps. Not sure what all is different, something about sealed wiring but outside of that no idea. I know after a few google searches a few guys have had these 400's die much sooner then I did in e85.

Have two e85 approved 450's that will be installed tomorrow. Truck hasn't really been opened up/ boosted hard for over a couple month now. I figure since it just cost me $500 to get it running, you better believe she owes me some thrills.

Might have opened up a hair more fuel with a higher base pressure on the 80s. However I think 5 gallons of race gas into the mix will open up a good bit of fuel.

As for new bests, no set dates on next time the meats gets strapped on the rear. Might just work the streets with her for a while.

No sir, end of each year I rotate my rods so they start bending back the other way.

Truck maybe going up for sale sometime this year. I'll make sure all matches and rematches are handled prior to though!
