They got too hot and the gaps opened up.

If thoes are not to rich I dont know what to think. The one in mine look white to light brown.

I wish I could get mine to look like that. I am getting ready to go bigger on the carb, because mine wont come off of dark gray to black colored. My 950 will supply the fuel, but not the required air.

Did you ever find out what caused it?

Running too lean for too long and too much spark advance.
