That guy is either smoking crack or trolling.
Here's what my old 04 GT made with mac prochamber midpipe, flowmaster 2 chambers, and a BBK CAI. The same day, a B-head Cobra made about the same or less peak HP, and Roadcone's old OhFoh GT made a tad less than mine:

I did do underdrive pullies after that, but never got it dynoed. Went on to LS1 cars. Kind of miss it though, had the Mach 1000 in it and all. Was always clean.

Incorrect. 260 was the crank horsepower.
You're talking more like 180 additional.
Let's just say I've had oh...... let's see 11 mustangs? 5 of them had that same motor he says.. and I've never broken over 300 wheel horsepower with boltons
That 2v isn't getting to 400 horsepower without tons and tons and tons of NA work...or boost
4.30s > all those boltons
ohh...
and it's over priced. I didn't even pay that much for 04 Competition Orange GT 2 1/2 years ago

Simply BS, I had 400rwhp with a Procharger at 9lbs and a shit load of supporting mods. Car has stock springs, stocker upper, shitty metal CAI and is a NOOB in the mod class.

poor car... with longtubes, giant JLT cold air and a 4.10 i think it made 252hp/281tq lol...
i bought 3 different nitrous kits for that car and never installed them. had 42lb injectors, LMAF and under drive pulleys that never got installed either. was trying to find an SVT Focus pump to tune it on E85 lol

He did make 400 on a 2v btw, with some gas lol and that wasn't enough so he bumped the shot and blew it up. He made like 317 N/A
In all seriousness though, intake, exhaust and underdrives I've made 275/300 on them. That's a long way from the 400 he's claiming lol.

Them shitty Anderson cams are probably why it don't make over 300 like Justin's I've got a couple sets of their junky F52's I need to make lamp posts out of.
I'd also take a 155,000 mile junkyard mod motor over anything modular from DSS.

No one was talking about your car, mr. blows-shit-up-a-lot. Your built motor on gas made more power than mine. Still was a lot of money spent on it just to barely beat an intake/exhaust/tune LS6. And refresh my memory, but WHO was it that gave up on these very same mod motors and is switching to an LS?

For the record he made 400 on a stock bottom end, it wasn't built. A 500,000 mile LS junkyard motor is entire galaxy's better than any MMR short block with 2v heads that we're beat from the stock short block coming apart.
When it comes to mod motors the following are no no's.
Anything DSS or Anderson
Any major componets from mMR ( short block heads)
Anything patriot.
Anything with boost a.......... In the name.
Many people buy that shit, and their reason for slow or broken is because of it.

I thought the problem with the MMR blocks was they just didnt do the final machine work on them unless you ordered a shortblock from them. I always heard horror stories when i was looking years ago.
is hitech still around? what about the guys who were part of VT Engines? I remember wanting VT Stage 2's and then finding out about HitechStage 2's and then i found Modular Head Shop after they had TFS head specific cams...

Some people have got short blocks with pistons installed the wrong direction, several have got them with compression problems from mMR. nick at mhs uses patriot junk in his heads and steel inserts if their 4 thread which is a no no and the only good trick flow specific cams are l&m. If you buy trick flows and put them on anything boosted, the valve train hardware needs to be replaced because there's been a ton of them that have tulip valves and the exhaust side is junk for any roots or centri blower.

sounds like an LSx motor "why I should swap" list
Randy, the stock 2v's are good to go for many miles, right?
i mean like 200k or more? or do they slap wear out?

I think Brandon had like 200k on his and shot it every weekend, I have the heads off his in my shed and you can tell they took a beating, but it still ran fine lol.

2v's are reliable.
Crown Vics.. i.e Police cars, taxis, etc.
They just dont like more than 400 horsepower on a stock motor. Don't ask how I know

My 2003 mach 1 I don't know what it made but box stock automatic with nothing but 125 hp nitrous and 17" ET streets ran 11.20's in the quarter and 7.30's eighth. Added 4.10 gears, "K" member, and exhaust:bigthumb: and went 10.80's quarter and 7.0's in the eighth, through the cats and all. Then went up to 150hp nitrous and burned a hole in 2 pistons. Oh well I tried..

oh yea, i know, i just thought it would take more than simply a kit and tires to go that fast. that's rippin. wonder how long that stock auto would handle the abuse?

My 2004 Mach 1 auto, with 125 shot, exhaust and tires also ran 11.30s /7.30s. Of course it did have 4 valves and a great driver! But after a while, the tranny started slipping even with the predator programmer controlling the line pressure/torque modification/shift points. I also had Mark King replace the clutch packs in the rear end a couple of times along the way.
Even with the 125 shot, my car never put down more than 370 hp at the dyno. So I say :bs: to the HP numbers claimed by the 2V owner.
