Had them on the gray car for 1 race in the front, went to order the bead locks for the rear and they told me they discontinued that style. Now have Bogarts on the car. Harry has the older style of Billet Specialties on his car and they have been a good wheel. They make nice wheels but internal workings of the company will frustrate you. Bogart, Weld, and Champion are better companies to deal with..:bigthumb:
Those are my favorite wheels. I told Tyler the other day I was going to order some.

A true drag 17" front runner isn't cheap no matter who you get it from. Weld Alumastars & Magnums are $600+

Why are they so fucking high? There is no reason? Your telling me that a 4.5 inch wheel costs more to make than a standard 7-8 inch wide billet wheel that sells for 3-400 bucks? No, its because some poeple have more money than sense. I'll keep my heavy ass wheels and safe that 1000 bucks and buy a bigger turbo.

It is what it is. Just like there are a variety of performance cars to choose from. A fox body Mustang is a really affordable way to go racing and not everyone chooses to use that platform. Just because they don't, doesn't make them "Have more money than sense"

I just cant grasp how they can charge 1/3 MORE for a wheel that takes less than 50% the size billet to make... The 17x9.5 rims are 335 dollars for the polished rims and the 4.5's (less than 1/2 size billet needed to machine the 4.5 wheel.........) costs a full $210 dollars more. Less tie mto machine, less cost of billets, less waste to pay to have recycled... I just dont understand the logic.

Couple of things to consider. I was talking to Rich Bogart and he was telling me that that skinnies are typically forged and 1 piece billet where the rears are typically 2 to 3 piece wheels, because the fronts have less material to absorb the entire front weight of the car or truck. The second is alot of the more expensive wheels are SFI certified and are serialized. doesn't mean anything to the racing scene around here but on an NHRA track if you are going fast enough it means everything, and the SFI company charges the wheel manufacturers to approve their wheels and for the serialized stickers..:bigthumb:

I emailed BS and asked them why they were so high and thats what they said. The 9.5 wheels use a spun barrel as I suspected and the billet center. The 4.5's are 1 piece which takes a lot longer to machine but that doesnt mean I have to like the price. Damnit I want a set of those wheels but im not paying a grand for 2 front wheels.
