New to this forumz, mebe a few people have seen me or what have you.

I have an 08 g8 gt, few of you here have talked to me/mentioned this forum. Figured I would go ahead and sign up.

I have had many ideas for my g8, cam swap, nawz, twin tarb0z, ect....

So I bought a Procharger 7 psi kit, figured that would be nice in it. Lots of money issues came up, figured I would sell it. Then I had the idea of selling my car, then I just came up with the rest of the funds to have it installed.

So its installed, waiting on the ECU to be returned back from Fast Chips (I think is who is Prochargers sub-contract)

So, once it is in. I am wanting to test it out.....see where it compares with some of your cars if you'd be interested :O

I dont feel up for drag strips. I perfer private drives/streets.

If anyone will be interested.....just PM me.

If you have the need to try to make me look like a fool and do the attack the new guy thing, then so be it :)

The little red blazer will gladly run at the track. No street racing since this is my daily driver/grocery getter. I can't afford to get it confisgated for street racing. Besides the track makes it an even playing field. Both have to start at the same time... no accerlerating prior to the signal/light. And there is a defined end of race point so no ricer fly by's.

Like Lxtasy said, it's one of the slow ones on this board. maybe even the slowest. It's just a heavy 2nd gen s10 blazer. I know its not too glamourous to race a blazer since you won't have too many bragging rights when you win. I just hope you don't lose because it might be a little embarrasing getting beat by a slow fat whore that drinks gas like a mofo.

Honestly, just dont want to go to the track. I had/have no intention of doing so, auto x, drift, 1/4 1/8th ect....

Just perfer the street and just curising....

MPG has not be affected, reading 22.7 on my dash atm, with rush hour traffic.

I am pretty pleased with the outcome.

It cost a lot but I think it was well worth it.

Cant wait for more h8 though!!! ^_^

The road was not wet were we raced, we walked it down. The water on the back windshield was from driving to the spot......................

I'm sure his car is really quick for a street car. He won't be able to hang with some of the purpose built cars on here, but not many of us can.

As for my turd I'm flattered, but it's just guppy in a big ocean compared to some of the cars in this area and surrounding. Just a quick and loud street car that's trying to keep up with the pack.

My '05 was 3770# with driver. And that was without an extra hundred pounds or so of supercharger and related parts.

It was weighed on the scale at Route 66 in Joliet, IL

I didnt bother looking at the sti, nor the stang.

I was in it for fun and to compare. Plus I knew from rumors/talk about the sti.
I knew what I was getting myself into. I didn't expect the result of the way this thread has gone, as I just figured it would turn out to be civil and people be accepting of new members, instead of shuning or well...talking...


Anyhoo, I didnt know about racecraft and saleen thing. I can honestly say I never knew this side of street/grudge racing at all. I am pretty much new to racing in general.

But from what I can tell from speaking to Randy/the people he was with, is hustle till the wheels fall off.

The owner of the racecraft said it was just a body kit/wheels. Im not stupid when it comes to cars, I know quite a bit I feel. I saw the saleen wheels, I dont think many non saleen car owners want saleen wheels, due to getting made fun of for not being OG.

So I asked if it was just like a Roulsh, stage 2 (non blower), he said yeah. I asked to check under the hood, he said maybe.....as in the gig is up. He opened it, and on top of the engine, "Powered by Saleen"

This story isnt to trash talk, but just to let you know....I didnt know this was normal to lie about what you have, it was quite amusing when you're talking to someone and you know they are trying to pull one over on you.

Anyhoo, I only had my car for a few hours when I raced. I think I did rather well, yes, I lost 3:4 races. I had reasons, but its ok, I did lose.

I will race anyone for free, and once I am used to my ride....maybe some money.

I was impressed how well I did.

For only doing 1 thing to my car and it giving 45-50% hp, I think its a worth while investment.

As for the weight, the g8's are pre-4k lbs, tad over for driver.

I have lost a lot of weight due to mufflers/res's being deleted, I am sure it was around 80lbs or so, not much but it helps.

But I guess thats it.

The g8's did not come with a spare tire, I dont have anything but cleaning/detailing suplies. I never keep anything in my car.

Yeah, you don't really know until you sit it on some scales. I would have to guess that with you in it, it would still be around the 4200+lbs range. And that's just a guess, but still a little heavier then any mustang out there.

Weight was mentioned because it's important. Same reason the C6Z's are stomping the shit out of much higher HP cars, they don't weigh shit. The G8 is at a significant disadvantage because of it's weight, which will make it even more embarrassing when pulls on somebody.

Hello Magoo. how have you been? I dont really agree with the above statement. The faster you go the less weight has to do with it. Ask any land speed racer. Thats when arrowdynamics come in to play. But at the speeds they are racing at I would say yes weight still has something to do with it. Not trying to argue with anybody. Hey Wade, how you doing man? I'm by no means an expert, but I was basing that off the few times Jeff and I raced before dumbass sold the Cobra. We had almost identical combo's and power he just had a 120lb weight advantage, racing from 40-130ish we would be dead even until we hit tripple digits and he would start slowly creeping away. Seemed the weight wasn't an issue until the higher speeds then you could see the difference.
