I'll share my trip since I've posted alot about my truck on here.

Good news is I had fun and learned a few things.

Bad news, didnt get the time I wanted. Last time out I cut two 7.0's in the 8th and a 1.58 60", but at the 1/4 I was just to damn right foot happy and over rev/stalled it. Didn't really know it till I got home and looked the logs over.

First pass I blazed the tires off the line, 1.98 sideways 60", ran 7.5@99, 11.5@122. Next pass is the video shot, but again to much gas spun after it rolled out and hit the rev limiter on second gear, went 7.2@98, 11.3@121. Still in my opinion an ugly pass. Next pass was my last pass, tried a 50 shot with no MPH controls setup in HPtuners, so of course blazes the 60" again.

All said and done, i'm happy but more to come for sure. Also, the 20" nitto's are retired. It's Hoosier time next time out!

You learn quick grasshopper. No more spinning out the gate I see, not to mention a little gear change, going from 20" Nittos to what 28" Hoosier tires. Truck should leave now even with the 50 shot..:bigthumb:

what are you using for Traction Control?

won't CalTracs work on a leaf spring truck?

+1

With the kind of power and tq we have to make to go fast, you could put that in a fox and be in the 9's on pump gas.

Thanks guys. Yeah Darrly I really wanted to see how fast I could go with out changing a thing from the street. No tire change, no tune swap, no race fuel or weight removed. I may still try and break the 10's in that manner, but might need a warmer track. Till then, I'll see how the hoosier work out.

Naa, I figure I can put a big ass turbo on a big block under the stock hood of any model ford truck ever built and make a lot more power...

Really nice times Rob! But with that trap I don't understand how you stayed with a C6Z, that's a 124-127mph usually.

I think I stayed with the z06 because I got the "gettin while the gettin was good". If you watch the area around 100-120 he's coming back pretty good. Do they trap 99 in the 1/8th stock?

Yeah they're rediculous up top. I've seen anywhere from 97-103mph stock out of them.
