Hey guys, I want to pick up a cheap DD just for driving back and forth to work. I don't want to rack up the miles on my other car, especially since I'll be doing work to it along the way. Anybody have something for around the $1k mark? I don't care what the hell it is or how ugly it is. As long as it runs and is in good shape motor and tranny wise. Working AC would be nice but not the end of the world if it doesn't. Thanks guys!

honestly its hard.... at least I had a hard time in charleston. But I was new here. You might get lucky and find a kia with 100k but it will be a disaster. You will likely want to bump up to $2-3k. Cash for clunkers screwed up the cheap DD mark imo....

I spent a week or so searching only to find cars that needed major shit like a tranny or transfercase when I was looking at trucks, cars were rediculous. I jizzed myself when I picked my v6 Camaro for $2k. Was in great shap compared to similar cars.

Selling an integra gsr 95 for a friend over seas.150k 5spd sunroof a couple dents fender doesn't quite match the car. It's slammed on 17's and the lower ball joint broke so the tire bent the fender up that's why it don't match. New contol lower control arm ball joint and wheel bearing on driver side. Tune up new battery. Has a header and intake. Ac works great.2,000

Thanks I'll keep that in mind.
I know they're out there, I had a 92 civic I sold for 500, I should have kept it but I needed the cash at the time. I'll keep an eye out.

Worth checking but I heard its kind of a waste of time for the general public. What happens is the good cars get sold to local dealers, public cannot bid on them, then when the cars that get passed up by everyone are still around, you can bid on them.

Any time I've gone up there it didn't seem like that. My friend that got a gsx for 1700 out the door. Only issues were the battery needed to be replaced, it had a small exhaust leak, and needed a vacuum/spit shine. All we did was show up and ask them to put it on the block. It was pretty straight forward.
