Nah, no hidden stuff for this guy. I'm more of a straight shooter type of person. I figure if I can't win fair, then I probably shouldn't be messing around with them anyway.

Yah, I never was much of a polished aluminum guy for the simple fact of keeping it clean, but since all the piping will be polished, I guess I'll have to get over it.

Basicly, there are zero good performance intakes made for the 4.3L V6 unless you can shell out 3000.00 for a sheetmetal intake. So, you are looking at an aftermarket V8 intake cut down to fit on a 4.3L with a 90mm TB.

To be more specific it looks like an aftermarket Edelbrock fuel injected intake for a Chevy 350 cut down to fit the 4.3.

ForceFed4g63
03-24-2011, 10:53 AM
Nice, I would think there would be more aftermarket support for the 4.3.

Got my transmission crossmember finished this week and I think it came out pretty good. I notched the driver side to make exhaust routing easier. Anyone familiar with these chassis will tell you there isn't much room for pipe on that side so this will make it much easier. I hope to get started on the exhaust fab this weekend. Enjoy!

Well, the good news is I'm driving the Jimmy and was able to get it on the dyno today. The bad news is I could only pull it to 5000 rpm and I'm at 100% IDC by about 4500 RPM. So, looks like those will be on order next week.

Not a bunch, but I did get the new injectors in and put it back on the dyno. Churned out 340 rwhp SAE @ 5500 rpm before the stock fuel pump ran out of steam. Still on 8 psi. I have some new fuel pump components on the way and have been fixing some minor odds and ends. Also, the exhaust is 3/4 finished. It is run over the axel with turn downs until I get time to finish the tail pipes.

I should have more pictures next month.

Special thanks to Shawn and Zac of Redline for the dyno use.
