Pretty sure I got it all firgured out, finally. Another set of eyes wouldn't hurt and I know most of you guys and pretty handy with a wrench. Some of you know I blew my 04 Cobra engine. More like piston slap with 7&8 piston. With car still in warranty. I had a new motor put in by Ford. When I picked the car up the belt was sqeeking bad. Didnt know it at the time but it was coolant on the belt. That followed by puking out the res cap followed by overheating. After researching my initial thought was air in the system. I bled and bled and bled. No luck so I started with a new res cap, bled, no luck. Then went with a new thermo, bled no luck. Then had Ford put in a new Thermo and bleed, great for a few days then no luck. When I use the funnel method as you will see in the movie I took the bubbles keep comming and you see some shit in there. Here's the highlight..there seems to be a buttload of pressure in the system, oil is clean but feels like coolant comming out the exhaust. When I tried to smell for it I did, and it burnt my eyes from the mist. Fans work on both settings but not sure about the radiator being faulty or not. Sounds like a blown head gasket even though thats not common on our cars supposedly but it can happen. So..due for another engine soon...then upgraded radiator followed by all the mods again then another tune. Thanks in advance for the time-Shane

Welcome to the warranty club Shane. I have had 2 engines replaced under warranty (99 Cobra and 99 Lightning). At least they guarantee that the new motor will work, or you get another one.

Yeah its looking that way Jason. What sucks is I have to head down to South Texas 3 hours from here to see a friend who has all the stock parts, change evereything out leave the car. The drive back down and get it when its fixed. Pretty sure she is down for the winter at this point. At 600rwhp dont you need head studs or you will just keep blowing head gaskets? -Shane

You shouldn't have to worry about that, blowing headgaskets on these cars is VERY rare.
