View Full Version : Talking to SVT days cooridinator about a L bracket race...

... in March would there be any intrest with the L owner down here to do such a thing?
It would be the same as the Cobra bracket race but with L's intead.

I know one thing if you start adding more brackets in there the test and tune time is going to get cut down shorter than it already is . They use to do 1 bracket and you could tnt until around 3pm . Then they added the womens bracket and it got cut shorter , then they added the Cobra club bracket and tnt got cut shorter again . I think with another bracket it would just kill even more track time where it's just open run for fun .

Thats also what I mentioned but then he talked about cutting out the Ladies bracket race and adding the L bracket race. I wouldnt think the L bracket race would take that long if there wer only 8-12 trucks participating if that many would even be interested.

The ladies bracket usually has less than 4 people in it but it takes time to call the cars up , get the dial ins right and do the lane choice .


My personal opinion on the matter is I think they shouldn't have any bracket races . It's a track rental for fun not a major race that everyone attends to win money .

Jeff, you make a good point. At first, I thought a bracket race for the Lightnings would be cool, but would rather see the time be used for test and tune. With that being said, I think they are going to have bracket races anyway.

If there is no intrest shown they probably wont do it. The group from CHP consist of the majority of the L's at SVT day and if no one here would like to participate they would have no choice but not to do it. The choice is mostly ours but I do understand both sides.
