Here is my dyno sheet. Weak sauce.

I ended up dynoing the truck twice cause they screwed up on the first run and ran the truck with the fueling box off the for the first three pulls and the truck only made 405 and 867. Ran me shittin cause I knew the truck would break 900 ft lbs. Well the highest torque number of the day ended up being 889 and I couldnt stand it. Paid the 80 bucks to run it again. Got the highest torque of the day at 933 ft lbs. Congrats to Zac who had the highest HP at 501! Carolina Horsepower representing!

A diesel truck that is putting down 4xx HP and 9xx TQ, what does something like that run in the 1/4 mile? Or are they more of highway roll racers?

I believe that truck has run a 9.36, the 5spd just kills the times. While zacs truck is in the mid 8's, automatic.

This. Manual kills it. I know my truck would run 8.80's or better in the eighth if I swapped in an auto. Its just so damn expensive! It runs alot better from a roll though. It's hard to get 6800 lbs moving from a dig, so quick diesels really moisten me!
I may take it to chessa tonight and try a 3rd gear 3200 rpm launch in four wheel drive and see if I cant bust off a 9.00.

I forgot to mention that my boy Colin put down 405 RWHP with his navy blue metallic Z on the "break in" tune! There was a sho nuff race car with a 408 Windsor there that only put down 415 so I was tickled for Colin! Congrats brotha!

The owner of the shop said the last pull was the fastest one he ever saw made on that dyno  [160mph]
Too bad the good tune didn't go through properly before we put it up there. Got stuck in the 87-econo tune.
ShawnBoyMoody
09-25-2011, 10:36 AM
That thing was pullling hard! Wish the tune would have loaded properly! Probably a good thing that turbo mazda guy backed out on racing us lol.
Did the mustang break up on the top end?

Did the mustang break up on the top end?
The dyno guy did a 7000 rpm pull and hit the rev limiter.
Edit: I see what your talking about now, not sure what happened there.

Talking about the smoke puffs? I dont think it was breaking up, mine did the same thing when it was on the dyno and everything was fine.

Oh yeah they coulda got it up there. They drive the car up and then it lifts in the rear hydraulically to drive onto the rollers. We actually had about 5 or 6 non diesel vehicles run.

Whats redline on it? Seemed to puff a few times.

Ugh I wish it had too. Was still fun to put it up there. The numbers alone proved that the econo tune stayed on it rather than the 93-race tune. Now the Mazda people think that is its highest tune numbers though ;) It was a complete night and day difference when we got the right one to load when we tried loading it again after we left. BTW, nice avatar :bigthumb:
The red line is at 7k. Told him to go ahead and take it as far as it'd go on the last pull. It did the same little puff thing last time we dyno'd it too. Everything was fine with it though.

After we saw a Mazda and an older 5.0 sign up for the dyno, I went home and brought the Mustang back. It *was* a diesel event but they had no problem putting other cars up there.
The hydraulic thing was pretty cool to get the lower cars up there.
