After 3 long years, I am going back to Boat and Yacht Sales for Hall Marine, which is known as Sea Ray Scout of Charleston. We sell Sea Ray, Meridian Yachts, Boston Whaler, Scout Boats, and Bennington Pontoons. I will start next Friday at their In-Water Boat Show. Below is an article in today's Post and Courier about the show and it's hours.

I know several people here, including myself, have been affected by our horrible economy, so I am looking forward to this opportunity and getting back to doing something that I enjoy.

Good luck to everyone else who has had to sacrifice and make changes over the past few years.

I appreciate it guys. If anyone has boat questions, I'll try to help. Next weekend will be fun. It has always been my favorite show event of the year.
Hal, I've been "working" on for 3 weeks. All of my spare time since my decision have gone into making the transition work well and getting in touch with old clients. Hopefully the event next weekend will get things off to a good start. Boat manufacturers always offer their best incentives in the fall and winter months to help balance boat sales.

A boat is a small blip on the radar. That or a camper.

I wish. Unfortunately, my 20 year old 17' Whaler will be my ride. So, come on!
I don't often get to ride on boats for entertainment once it becomes a business. One of the guys at work ruined it for us being able to borrow the used boats by running two of them aground and causing damage.

A serious question:
Do possible boat owners get to test drive the boats? Or does the boat have to be a certain price to allow potential owners to take it out on the water?

Yes. Price has nothing to do with a test ride. At the show next weekend, if someone picks out a boat they want to buy and the price is agreed upon, we will take them out for a test ride before they buy.

Larry best of luck to you sir! I know the marine industry is the first to take a hit and the last to come back in a down economy. I have a good friend who works for the keywest boats plant, they have certainly been riding the rollercoaster but have managed to keep things going. I know you will do well.

That off white with the brown accents is awesome. I need to win the lottery, then I can buy a boat from you, Larry.

I know a lot of deep sea boats use this hull shape but I really like it too minus all the outriggers and bridges. Not sure what this style is called though.

Sportfishing boat. Big flair in bow area and the way the rub rail has the break in it near the back defines the "Carolina Style".

Carolina Style with alot of bow flair equals a great ride in a nasty ocean. They will eat up a head sea. You go out 60+ miles in comfort and ride back in comfort. Not much fatigue and not as tired after a 12 hour trip.
