Why would I be disappointed?

I gather from the "benchracingFTW" tag and Duprees comment that some think that I think my car is gonna run what this car runs because its the same color and has a similar engine. Im not an idiot. However, I have done my research and do have a pretty good idea of what the car is gonna run. I posted this vid because the car is the exact same year as mine, the same color as mine, the same wheels Ill probably end up running, the same size engine I'm running, and about the same size shot Ill be running initially. Going back to the not being an idiot thing, I also know a 9.80-10.00 ain't gonna get the job done. Understand the car wont have a 5.3 forvever. Im on the lookout for a cheap 6.0 to build for later. Wanna know what I think the car will run with the current setup once the bugs are worked out? I think itll run about a 6.30 - 6.40 on a 150 shot. I wouldnt be disappointed in that at all.

I am told mine should go 6.5s with a 150, if that's the case I am going to be pissed.
6.0 H/C/I should run 6.9s with ease and then throw a 150 on there, i hope to see bottom 6s. if the 5.3 can do that surely my 6.0 can do better.....

If I was yall Id be switching to a 4.8's and a turbo. If Rob can hit 6.5's in a heavy ass truck there isnt any reason you guys cant hit 5's in a fox mustang with bigger motors and a "ton of gas".

Timmy's car went 6.90's on motor with a 6.0 with 5.7 heads and an aftermarket cam of unknown origin. Thats in a 2nd gen Camaro that Im sure is heavier than your Stang. Ill think itll do 6.0s easilly on 150.

Lol stock there is like 10 hp difference between each of the engines 4.8-5.3-6.0. Foose is putting down like 700 hp. My motor I think will be 350-375 hp. Add 150 worth of gas and your only at 500-525 hp. Its a mathematical equation really.

I may be expecting too much, hoping to see 425 thru the TH350/3500 nitrous TC....

It all boils down to the vehicles weight and how well the suspension works. All the power in the world won't help a car that spins everywhere. My stock block 306 in the blue car runs 7.52 consistently and 40's in cool weather, but the 1.50 60' doesn't hurt any, and thats all the car has is 60'. It use to pick up a second in the 1/8th on a 150 shot, but its been doing pretty well in the brackets, so I haven't even turned the gas on. Your red car use to run those numbers shawn, so you know what it takes to get there..:bigthumb:

Yeah the old car went 6.60's on 150. I estimate that motor was about 325 hp so thats about 475 on spray give or take. Silver car is similar in weight with a slightly better suspension setup. I feel confident in the 6.40's.
