I know a guy with a rpm

ShawnBoyMoody 02-13-2013 02:02 PM

Im gonna strangle Ray AND Terry. First of all why would he look at a Super Victor? The engine has a stock bottom end. It shouldn't be turned any higher than 6800. That intake would kill bottom end power. The dual plane MIGHT be ok but with the better flowing C&C'd LS1 heads that are on it and him already talking about going with L92 heads the Vic Jr is the right intake. Terry if youve got money you just wanna throw away send some my way I got a little red car that needs some parts. I keep hearing you're calling everyone asking advice on the car well here's mine. Leave the damn thing alone and enjoy it before you end up with another racecar you cant drive on the street!

Shawnboy ninja edits!

Oh and aint a damn thing wrong with that carb. It made 462 to the tires on a Windsor and 410 to the tires on that 6.0. Run it!

I dont read those discriptions that say a cam or intake is good for XXXrpm.

the design of the victor jr is horrible. Maybe you like but we can all have our own opinion on this subject. I would think that Terry could say the same thing to you about his old car. And I really like L92 heads.

L92s on the flow bench and they are bad ass

Man Shawn, I can understand getting a little upset about someone messing what you feel is right. But, Terry is just like anyone of us and you. He is still going tinker with the car and see if he can improve on what he has.

Pesce Nero 02-13-2013 02:19 PM

Terry, you will need this intake after its stroked and poked

Terry could except Terry didnt send me off with a perfectly good running street car that can be driven anywhere and run 6.70s all day long. He sent me off with a roller. So yeah might as well change some shit up right? Besides Im taking a racecar and putting it back on the street. He said he wanted a street car but its getting to be a racecar real quick. And yes you are entitled to your opinion but your opinion is wrong.

Disagree. How much you can and will drive it on the street makes it a street car in my book.

Shawn, It doesn't matter what the peak power was on the dyno. It is how efficiently the carb got it there. I've already talked to Terry and have given him some helpful info about custom built carbs. There may be some more power left in that 6.0 just with the proper carb. And he will gain some more street manners as well. Yes I do agree that he has a :bigthumb:good combination as well.

Well I dont just "feel" is right. It was right. The time slips prove it. Could it be made faster? Sure it can. Can it be made better? Sure it can and I know he will. Ive just been hearing this intake thing from Ray for a while now and while hes knowledgeable as hell hes just wrong on this one thing. And the carb is not holding this combo back thats all Im sayin. I aint even mad.

Well I disagree on that as well. A $1000 carb isnt gonna speed that car up. Waste of money IMO. A/F's were perfect on the car at WOT.

This we can agree on. ^^^^^^^
