Gonna be good race either way.If it's on the track, unless mike packs some tires he is gonna have a hard time leaving with Rob.

Truck has it all day, the manual trans is just going to kill the evo.

RoadconeTuning 12-29-2013 11:00 AM

Sand, Matt has had more to do with drag racing in the past few weeks than he has all year!

Lmao. You don't get out much.

Here is the evo link vs the 1000rr race:
http://youtu.be/iZO1xPq1q54

i think the evo will trap about ~145-150 mph in its current condition. He ran my buds 1000rr (230lb rider who has never drag raced or raced a car). My friend started in 2nd at low rpms. So at the strip Mike will probably do some weight reduction(no passenger), but I don't think it will hook like big red as others have mentioned.

I get out more than you. I have seen the track more than once a year. I didn't say they aren't any out there. Obviously there is.

I can guarantee that you know far, far less about Evos than I do. When they're built and tuned right they're just as reliable and consistent as any other car at those power levels.

Motor maybe, but drivetrain is sketchy. Mike told my son that me didn't want to run it too much in the street for fear of breaking it, just saying..

Darryl Buckner 12-29-2013 05:26 PM

Rob use to be a Mitsubishi racer back in the day, so I am sure he knows their weaknesses, but 900hp is quite impressive out of 2.0 litres of motor, should be a good one.

Not everyone is geared for that or car is suited for that. I prefer that 1/4 mile. Its all I grew up around. Back before people started getting scared about running 330 mph +

I might try to make it. Wont have my car (still waiting on new control arms)

Oh I'm sure, I was just commenting on Harry's blanket statement.

I am sorry that I have to explain everything to you! I did not say what was the weak link is in those cars. Seeing as how you are such a guru with them and an expert , I would have thought you would have gotten it.
