I was going to say the same thing. Benny can take care of it I am sure.
Go by there tomorrow and you will see the turbo terror getting buffed and polished! Bling bling goes faster!

The slicker they are, The faster they go. Right.

chrisheltra 11-16-2009 10:08 PM

if it's a decal then do it with a plastic razor blade... yes they make them. Or give me $20 and I will take car of it.
plastic razor blade? doesn't that defeat the whole purpose?

Matts94Z28 11-18-2009 11:54 PM

No... what if you need to take the pinstripe or dealership sticker off of a car and you don't want to gouge the clear?

I have 4 years of auto detail under my belt... I know the tricks.

Deblin 11-19-2009 12:07 AM

Guess I'd never really thought about it, is all. And I've never had anything worth caring about the paint on, to be honest.

You can use dental floss, plastic squeegee, plastic razor blade which is like the plastic squeegee or fishing line. all will remove the emblem. for removing pinstriping and other graphics I have a vinyl removing wheel that will not harm the paint.

For the glue you can use "goof off" but in a very well ventilated area. Or you can use adhesive remover thats found in the sign industry too.

I have all of the above.

Goof off is a little too harsh (would probably dull the finish), Goo Gone is much gentler and works very well.

Paint thinner ftw... thats what I always use.

I have always used 3M adhesive remover. Also works great on removing VHT/rubber off of the quarter panels.

It was nice to have access to a steam powered pressure washer at hendrick, now I have to get down and dirty and do the same...
