Lmao!

Guys, please don't try to find a reason "not to race". This is a very reasonable, relaxed set of rules, designed to let most of the cars on the site race together. If you have fun, does it really matter if you don't win the points? It's not like you're paying an entry fee. If you were, then I can understand. If I had a car, I'd be in it even if I had to race against the slowest of cars on the list. At least I'd be racing one weekend a month.

The main objectives are to keep this deal simple and most of all have the participants be in REAL street cars.
No need to make it any more complicated.

And for the guys complaining about seats...if you have no plans to put the passenger's seat back in your ride, then don't make plans to run the Top Dog races.

Damn there is always gonna be complaints. Liscense tags, dot's, and pump gas, with 2 seats, thats whats up.

Im gonna be full weight, full street trim, a/c and hell maybe even the baby seat. Lets get down.

Illusions 02-23-2010 10:12 AM

I'll just buy a cheap race seat. :D

There ya go! Or just grab one from the junkyard, clean it up, and bolt it in.

toslow...It doesn't matter what size or type of tire you run and it doesn't matter what fuel you're running.

BigdaddyDupree 02-23-2010 10:18 AM

i wouldnt personally drive a car with one seat. seems weird. just me, not a street car anyway

I have the stock seats but they are all power and are heavy mothers. 9.0's would be hard to hit with them. When your slow you need all the advantage you can get. Now where do I have my summit bucks at. :)

No need to make it any more complicated.

The rules i suggested are not complicated by any means. They are a set of proven non-bias rules that have worked for years in multiple organizations. Why try and re-invent the wheel.

It keeps getting reiterated that this is a street car event, so meeting up and cruising a short distance to the track should not be a problem for anyone on the list. I personally think it would add some fun to the event.

Two issues I have with those rules...

One...They only allow stock suspension cars. I know there are a couple, if not more, street cars on this board that do not have stock suspension.

Two...While a cruise would be fun and would possibly expose a car that isn't exactly streetable, the fact is that it would take a fair amount of time and effort to get it organized and completed. It would just add more complications to something we are trying to keep as simple as possible.
