Damn good race! Once that car gets an anti-roll bar its gonna be nasty.

minytrker 09-04-2011 03:21 PM

I agree with Wes anti roll and better suspension. If you can't 60 very well in 1/8 mile racing you always going to behind. If you dont have both kits on before the 60 then your still leaving alot on the table. I am on 275 drag radials and have everything on before the 60 foot marker. I had to upgrade the suspension in order to do that but now its hooks anywhere.
Good race but I would have bet with the TA just from seeing video's of Brandon's car at the track with the lack of suspension and not hooking all the time.

slowgreen99 09-04-2011 03:25 PM

? My car dead hooks and 60s better than most think. Yes an anti roll bar would help a lot, but the car still hooks. And its not a "when the gas comes on", its the fact that the stock Ford blocks dont like gas period. That's my limiting factor, not the suspension.

minytrker 09-04-2011 06:37 PM

Maybe we have differnt ideas of hooking...if I have a 1.3x I'm not happy. I was basing that on past videos I have seen...which could easily be old.

I agree on a wolfe anti roll bar an that mustang should do the damn thang

Both kits? And a powerglide and a C4 are way different when I comes to power application.

mines not fast

You need both kits flowing before the 60 ft and if it is a windsor block shoot it. If it is not 60ft in the 1.2xs then it still needs work....We put an anti roll on our car that would 60 ft in the 1.30s without it and it was just a huge difference in the way it put the power down, the car became much more efficient and it brought the front end down a lot. and it would hook in a dirt road so to speak,,

My car is gonna be turbo. I'm gonna try a th350 at first but I might change to a glide later. I got a really good deal on it and its built to the max. My rear gear is a 3.30. Car should weigh 3200-3300 without a driver.

turbo'd or twin turbo'd? And what rear do you have to have a 3.30 rear gear?

All I can say is a .509 light isnt loosing on a .500 tree. You did everything you were exspected to do, he just had a little more gas on the top end with 2 kits.. But like the other guys were saying an anti roll bar might have been the edge you all needed to hold that car off for real. But it was still an awesome race..:bigthumb:

KRYPTONITE 09-06-2011 11:42 AM

thanks darryl.... I agree it was a great race, cant wait to see what kind of #'s brandons car puts down after the anti-roll bar, should be easier to drive also
