My ex-father in law had a grady white, which he loved. Boston Whaler's were pioneers in the 70's and 80's when they would cut their boats into pieces with chainsaws, fill them full of people and water, etc, and they would still float. I would pay for that, as I have never seen another boat manufacturer (including grady white) make an unsinkable claim that they could back up. Grady White's have an extremely deep V, so they burn more gas, can't get in shallow water, take longer to plane, etc, but you won't find a better/drier ride. I have been 60 miles out in the gulf stream on a 19' tournament Grady White on a calm day chasing spadefish. I have also been out on several scouts that buddies own and love. We have these arguements all the time. As far as your Carolina Skiff comment, they make good crabbing boats, but that is about it. Flat bottom=crappy ride, enough said about that one.

Wrong. They are a better boat than you state, but are not that dry, unless you are comparing them to your Sea Hunt.

You are not familiar with boston whaler's, are ya? Probably the most expensive mass produced boat for the size, minus maybee edgewater, and they are the same quality as the whalers......

Wrong again. Only Edgewater Boats would tell you that.
Please take your top level expertise elsewhere. Your lack of common decency has blown this thread apart without knowing what you're talking about.
