You sir have nothing but negitive things to say about my shop. To my knowledge you have only been to my shop once to talk trash about a GTO build we were doing. You tell stories of how we blew up the engine in your GTO. Word gets around and I read the GTO boards as well. What happen to your car was not done at my shop or by me. If are going to tell a story at least tell the truth!

Jeff, I was just informed this past weekend that you feel nothing is wrong with the blazer and it sucks to be me. this does not sit well.

At what point does this become slander?

Unfortunately when you do good work and have a shop full, its going to happen. Ill admit it, it happens at my shop. Ive had cars ive kept WAY long than I should have, and Ive had unhappy customers, because I wasnt able to finish something quick enough.

Then you try and hire people on to get the new work done and sometimes you get people who you think can do good work and it turns out they cant. Ive been there, it sucks when you want to help and get shit done but you cant do it all yourself. I think Jeff has a great full time crew in there now, Jamie, Zac, Shawn, and Mike.

Hal, from what I saw of the blazer it looked like a big project. You guys are trying to do some awesome stuff with that big blazer. I think 2 weeks is a ridiculously short amount of time for a project of that caliber. Maybe if Jeff had a guy who only focused on that project for 10 hours a day he could pull it off but day to day things do get in the way, and are a necessary evil. I will agree that six months is on the long side.

I wish things had worked out better on both ends, but I dont think this HHP bashing is needed. The performance car world has grown leaps and bounds in the last 20 years, hell the last 10 years. Things are becoming more complicated and people are pushing ideas and engineering further and further. Im not going to speak first hand about your project because I dont know the story. But alot of problems on big projects come from miscommunication, parts issues, different schools of thought, money, or having so many ideas of what they want. This is not just on the owners side, the shop can create problems as well, inconsistent help, over taxed with work, or day to day operations putting important long term goals on hold. Its easy to grab that dollar thats infront of your face instead of the one thats a mile away. Im guilty of it as well, bottom line is we are only trying to keep our doors open.

Unless there was blatant ripoff, stolen property, or fraud then my opinion is that these types of grievances should not be thrown around on a message board.

Great post. :bigthumb:

Going to be busy :finger:

I know what you meant though. I ordered the system from eBay ($360) and plan to have Sasquatch install it for me. I heard he may have installed one or two in the past.

Jeff

i never have had any work done by your shop. you never had my car on a dyno. i don't know what you are talking about. the one time i was there i saw adams old gto there. i said watch out for the common problem of pinching the fuel line from the tank . that happened to me by another shop. my old car was dynoed at showzone and your tuner was there. that is what was said. get your story straight!

KRYPTONITE 09-26-2012 07:52 AM

Libel is written defamation of character. Slander is verbal defamation of character.

Truth is an absolute defense to both.

Well,if you really want to help,i still need help on my car.....The engine needs to come out and find what was broken...I am having a shop built and should be done end of next week. Have a brand new ben-pak drive on also...So if you want to help someone, please come help me pull the motor and fix the big oops...Hopefully it not real bad and a simple fix,but has never been right since it injested oil on the dyno...So if you can help i will call RPM and tell them to stop workin on it,cause this double paying is KILLING ME....

I have to say, Im not taking sides by all means, but if I got screwed I damn sure not gonna take it back, thats stupid, Not talking about what they did!! But a shop should produce outstanding work with little come backs, Come backs hurt everyone, business, emply. and customers, the way I look at it is, Do it right the first time, stick to your word or dont do it at all!!

What im sayin is its easy to say do this or do that. Yeah of course we as shop owners try to make everyone happy, and have very little comeback. Not everything you do is going to leave your shop perfect. Or it may be before it leaves and them something happens. Mistakes will be made, and problems will come up, its unavoidable.

So what im telling you is, go walk a mile in someone elses shoes. Go open a performance shop, not in your back yard, a real shop with overhead, and employees. Try keeping the bills paid, ordering parts, talking with customers, keeping good employees and making sure they stay happy. Go do that and then come back and tell me how you feel.
