Thats the idea, its a cheap alternative to a fogger. Of course its not as tunable as a fogger jet wise but you can get almost equal results since its flowed and adjusted for your intake. It starts at $350 installed vs $1000+ for custom fogger.

dang you cant hardly buy a plate for $300!!

Could also be used as a stealth option. Pretty neat, but ass backwards on the ol R&D

I'm with DIGGLER on the cone idea. Put a dunce cap top on that nitrous puck and see if it helps or hurts.

You'd trip out if you knew what I paid for my plate system then

im all ears... i figure a cheater plate is around $150? just the plate itself... the bigger flow tested plates would be much more.

It's a sledge hammer plate from Induction solutions flowed by Steve Johnson from 150-650 shot. $1050...when you run a class that only allows plate systems you gotta do whatever you can to be fast in class trim

pretty much the same thing i paid for my plate system. but its a 2 stage edelbrock vic. jr plate.

damn impressive

Darryl Buckner 09-25-2013 10:11 AM

That is pretty good numbers. I was looking at the way they flow bench intakes, and it would seem that the puck would only slightly restrict air flow, but not too much. When they wet flow an intake, due to the boost/vacuum signal generated by the motor under the carb, most of the fuel coming from a carb sticks to the top of the runners, very little fuel sees the bottom of the intake. I think the puck is a really good idea, but you would still want a fogger in your high horsepower (1000 hp plus) applications for its per cylinder tuning capabilities.:bigthumb:

On "200" it picked up 271 rwhp, and on "300" it picked up 302?

That's what I was thinking, 300 shot is pointless lol

blkscls1z 09-25-2013 11:01 AM

Corrected the 3rd dyno number shot. It was 250, not 200.

WWhittle 09-25-2013 01:14 PM

I never have understood calling it "150 shot" or whatever- it's a jet size. Every motor reacts differently to a jet size. So I'd like to know what jet sizes those were...

Assuming the jet sizes and the "shot sizes" are close- Those numbers tell me that the motor is either too high compression for nitrous or it's got the wrong cam in it. For it to pick up that much to the rear tires, something isn't ideal. I would be willing to bet it doesn't live or it's super touchy to tune.

My care would pick up around 375 to the tires on a 28/32. It wouldn't live though. Knocked the compression out of it and now it's good to go.

slowgreen99 09-25-2013 01:45 PM

X2, i guess its more of a reference. Hell, the I.S. plate on my car had a .300-350 range of hp for one jet size. Its all in a tune up and combo. Still is cool that the puck works better than i thought.

DIGGLER 09-25-2013 02:05 PM

but what does it run.......?
