BAD BOB 01-19-2011 09:45 PM

Carlrx7 01-19-2011 09:53 PM

With all these 'street cars' getting trailered, I'm not worried about breaking at the track knowing that I can just roll up on theirs for a small fee and they can drive the 'street car' home.

If you're good with the small fee, I'll drag that car home. I'm not sure how to get it on the trailer though.

ASkipper 01-19-2011 10:19 PM

I got a question for you guys I would like to participate in the Real Street class. The problem is that I stay over 2 1/2 hrs away. I would trailer my car up there and drive a certain distance to the track. Is that going to be allowed if not I will run for fun, a few times. I just don't like not having my trailer nearby if I break as its a long walk back to Conway. I would let you guys check out my car and all to see how its rated.

I can drive it all the ways there but I just don't like the thought of not having the trailer nearby. I could let anybody ride in it. All I got is a mid 10 sec car. Stock shortblock with heads and cam. I do have a stiff suspension as its got a drag bar that makes the ride rough. I just like to drag race and this is a forum full of local dragracers.

My wife's sister stays about 20 miles from Bowman. I can leave the trailer there and drive it to the track. So I guess I will have to wait until after Sat. to see how the tire rules work.

BAD BOB 01-19-2011 11:11 PM

ill trailer mine to my dads house that is close to the track and drive the car there. still about 20 min away. i can rent spaces there for others that want to do the same

there are no tire rules. run snow tires if you want. if you want to race than race

Pesce Nero 01-19-2011 11:30 PM

another note, the extreme street class gets an extra callout and win credit for driving where as the real street class does not

Lots of wood, or if we are at chessa, we can make a ramp out of all the beer cans.

BigdaddyDupree 01-19-2011 11:41 PM

What if said car is flown in? Like airlifted by helicopter?

I never said that so please dont put words in my mouth. If you dont want to be in the street car class say so and enter your car in the extreme class if thats what makes you happy. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...lies/shrug.gif

Darryl Buckner 01-20-2011 11:36 AM

My whole point was the classes being seperated by wether you drive in the gate or trailer it in the gate. Just wanted to see it more fair for everyone in the classes to make for closer racing. But I don't have time to do the Top Dog coordinator job, so i'll shut up, and wait to hear the final decision, before choosing my class..:bigthumb:

I agree, thats why I suggested "indexing".

If your car is fast and you know its fast, run with the big dogs. Why try and sandbag to beat cars running 2 seconds slower?

there is an advantage for being in the extreme class, you can still choose to drive and get an extra callout so you can either move up faster, or move up just in case you get a loss. also you get a win credit in that class if you drive

in real street its one and done unless ofcourse your defending the number 1 spot

No thanks. Lol. You are doing a GREAT job running this deal. And we appreciate it!

But, I hate to be put up against a true race car just because I have a tow rig and a trailer and can tow my junk to the track? It ain't no fun sitting at the track with a broken car or truck wondering how the hell am I gonna get this thing home?

Ask me how I know. I broke the input shaft in my Dodge for the third time at Dorchester a while back, had the wife and boy with me and no way home. Kinda sucked..

Besides aint nothing "extreme" about my car lol

Hey I like your SIG!

I Like the ladder Idea... show up qualify then put us on a ladder... No call outs no nothing

show up run way ya brung

put on a ladder

Everybody pay a entry fee

Exactly! My son has his license now, and he had been driving my blue Mustang I got from Jeff for the last couple of years, and he is pretty good on the tree. I was going to enter him in the street class and i would run the LTD in the extreme class. But what is the use to enter my son in a class seperated by a car trailer. He runs 7's in the Mustang, against a car that runs 5's or 6.0's, because there are no rules to keep those kind of cars out of the street driven class. why bother? I would not enter the LTD in the drive in class, all though nothing is stopping me according to the rules, but there are people who have no morals that would take the easy wins.
