If you get an email tune and have a wideband and good data logs it's no differnt than me sitting in passenger seat. I tune cars through email all the time. I set there laptop up to mirror mine so when I get a data log it's no differnt than if I was actually there. I tune for a shop and they email files while on Dyno, no one even knows they aren't really tuning it.

what do you do about transmission settings when email tuning? just go by what you've seen work on cars you've tuned in person?

Data log the transmission and adjust according to the data log and what the customer says. No different than sitting in the car.
