If I just did one mile id be around 8 minutes.

Jonathan 09-07-2011 06:12 PM

I did 1500 meters (1600 is one mile) this morning in 4 minutes 11 seconds.

BUUUUT it was set up as:

Sprint 150 meters, rest 60 seconds X 10.

So my running time was only 4:11... but I took 10 breaks throughout making the actual total 14:11. lol

Just got a Garmin 305 for my birthday to keep track of my running data and heart rate. I run 1.5 miles in high 11's but am hoping to get it down in the low 11's before the year's end.

I really like running but I don't really enjoy going past 3-4 miles. Any farther than that, and my mind begins wandering too much and starts to give my body convincing reasons to stop running.

Once I start thinking about slowing to a walk during the run...it's only a matter of time before my body follows. :poke:

I use Nike+ on my Iphail and it keeps things interesting and informative.

I used to use Run Keeper on the Iphone. Check it out. It was more helpful than Nike+ when I tried it.

I use the Timex Global Trainer GPS now. Keeping track of pace and distance does help push yourself.

10:48 last night. I'm taking a break tonight and slowing it down this week. I'm going for 9s next week.
