I was actually going to run my cutlass without one but after seeing a couple bad wrecks lately I think I'm goin to atleast put a six point in it.

Classes

This race has sparked much debate on what truly is considered a street car. To try to have 1 class that would accomadate everyone would be nearly impossible. So, we have decided to have 2 classes. Xtreme street- anything goes as long as u drive it thru the gate and have tags and insurance. And True street- regular street tires and tags and drive thru the gate. Both will pay $500 winner takes all. Since we added another class and purse there maybe a small entry fee, no more than $15. Or it might remain free, just depends on the feedback and participation. Hope this works for everybody that is interested in racing that day. I will have the date of race later today. Thanks everyone so far for your input!

Count me in for regular street....

On a side note... I've been REALLY impressed with the track lately with exception to last Saturday.... PLEASE say it's gonna be prepped right escpecially with cars like Zac, Robert, Mark, Chris...etc... it would be a shame to see one of those guys eat the wall

LXtasy 10-06-2011 08:26 AM

Very nice on two classes. Might put on regular street tires again and do some road testing this weekend. Can we atleast run skinnies up front that have regular street tires on them?

LilRedEclipse 10-06-2011 08:29 AM

Damn... you guys are lucky. No one actually builds decent running imports there. When my shit was a street car, actually had interior full exhaust... It would dip down into the 6's on street tires.

Sucks I moved to NC it's too far of a drive to come down and play now.

There's a few Chris, they just never come out lol, hopefully I can change that soon, I'll be picking up a new project shortly. Where did you move to?

LDELEE 10-06-2011 09:14 AM

@ CMD, thnx. We had know idea that we would have the kind of cars that came out last Saturday. The track was prepped with the anticipation of having just imports with street tires. It will be done different
ly next time for sure.

chrisheltra 10-06-2011 09:22 AM

If you prep the shit out of it I may try the street tire race.

I got a fogger we can put on the X5, it should do pretty good with traction control and awd..:bigthumb:

This is simple
TREADED STREET TIRES becuse streetcar
NO FUEL CELLS becuase RACECAR

I still don't understand the fuel cell delima. I have no plans on putting the LTD in the race, but what does a fuel cell matter. Street tires wont really do a whole lot. For example, I can program my digital 7 box with Kumho tires and adjustable suspension on my car and get around your Camaro on slicks. I have already went well into the 6's on a Kumho. So I know for a fact you give Zac or Bad Bob a couple of passes and they will run good also. Its called power management, and a couple of key strokes on their computers and its on. It will make it interesting with street tires for sure..:bigthumb:
