The Suggested guidelines Robert posted aren't to bad. Cages of any kind should not be a factor though,if any thing they add weight. Drag radials are good for dot and I don't really know why anybody trying to run a street class needs more.

You ever try racing a 600 rwhp truck on 28x10x16? Not to many decent DR's in that size until recently. Slicks were the norm unless you moved up to a 30" tire on a 15" rim which was expensive and requires modification to the brakes. No weight over the rears is a killer.

So what are you trying to say. You bought the wrong vehicle for racing. So now there needs to be a truck class?

Darryl Buckner 01-20-2011 03:36 PM

Mike's truck would pick up the tires on Mickey drag radials, maybe we need a modified suspension class.

Not the wrong vehicle just something different than every other stripped out mustang that shows up at the track, but a truck class would be awesome probably not enough interest though.

On the 18" wheels or 15's?

I just got a set of 315/65-15 MT DR's delivered at the house yesterday and those things look tough.

Derek 01-20-2011 03:40 PM

I dont have a problem with slicks I don't think its a deciding factor.I just think its gonna get funny here in a bit when its okay to run slicks, but missing seats are to far.

Derek 01-20-2011 03:41 PM

Do we get credit for adding a baby seat lol.

Can everybody else understand what this guy post or is it just me?:miss:

Mike 01-20-2011 03:46 PM

Ray I'd like to add one more, ac class.

That's the only rule, if your car/truck has the ac compressor, and all lines, condenser's etc.. and it blows cold, nothing else matters. :bigthumb:

I guess he is saying everybody fits in the real street class. Who is extreme by those rules? Or are you saying he misspelled extreme?

Luckie 01-20-2011 03:51 PM

It would get boring if we all agreed
