I'd start looking to get power else where. Your spinning that Eaton pretty fast already with that 8lb Lower.

+1 There are plenty of other mods to get power from.

WELL I WAS THINKING OF JUST GOING TO THE 2.8 WITH THE SLOTS CUT IN IT TO GRIP. BUT I FOUND A DRY NITROUS KIT FOR $269 FROM DYNOTUNENITROUS.COM AND GIVE IT A 25 SHOT AND GET 75-100HP OUT OF IT. FOR UNDER 300 BUCKS YOU CANT BEAT THAT. I KNOW I NEED THE THROTTLE BODY AND UPPER INTAKE, ELECTRIC FAN AND WATER PUMP WOULD ALL HELP BUT MAN THATS EXPENSIVE.

Whaler 05-31-2007 09:56 AM

Ask LightningMike about nitrous, and his was a wet kit.

Id ditch the 8#, and get a 6# with a ported blower see how that works for you. Then add juice to it later. Or you can just save up and get a KB or Whipple.

SVENSONJR 05-31-2007 10:05 AM

DOES ANYONE AROUND HERE PORT THE BLOWER? AND HOW MUCH?
LOOKING FOR THE MOST BANG FOR THE BUCK. I KNOW IM GOING TO NEED TO SACE UP AND BUILD A BLOCK BEFORE TO LONG...ISNT THE LIMIT 450-500 TO BE SAFE?

chrisheltra 05-31-2007 10:09 AM

Stiegmeyer(sp) ports blower its around $500. There is also someone on here that has an extra blower you can probably borrow. If he doesnt mind he will probably PM you.

SVENSONJR 05-31-2007 10:14 AM

THAT WOULD DIFFERENTLY BE AN IDEA PORT IT AND GET THE BIG INTAKE STUFF. NOW WHY DO YOU THINK I NEED TO GET RID OF THE 8LB ..I GOT HEAT COVERED WITH THE BIG INTERCOOLER

 Thats spinning the Eaton too fast, you will probably get more horsepower with a 6lb and a better tune

Meet up with Chris, and you 2 go to the track. Together you guys should make 2-3 back to back runs. That way you can see how much E.T. you loose after each run compared to someone who has a 6lb.

I'm very interested in the results, and that way you will have a real world comparison.

chrisheltra 05-31-2007 10:54 AM

Like mike said I will be at Dorchester tomorrow at 7:00 Pm if you want to come out and run them and compare a 6# w/ port, and a 8#.

SVENSONJR 05-31-2007 10:59 AM

how much boost are you making chris? and you are relatively the same setup as me just with 6lber?

chrisheltra 05-31-2007 11:02 AM

All I have is the stock boost guage but I should be around 15-16#

SVENSONJR 05-31-2007 11:09 AM

see thats what i thought and when we dynoed it in va, it was 95 in a garage it was making 13 across the board witht he 8lb lower. i thought it would have been more like 16

SVENSONJR 05-31-2007 01:11 PM

HOW CROWDED IS THE TRACK ON FRIDAY NIGHTS?

chrisheltra 05-31-2007 01:17 PM

Not nearly as crowded as it is on Sun. There is usually no more than about 50 cars on Fri.

SVENSONJR 05-31-2007 01:20 PM

OK AND IT OPENS AT 6PM ... IM GONNA TRY AND MAKE IT AS CLOSE TO OPEN AS I CAN GOT TO GO HOME AND CHANGE THEN HEAD OVER FROM MT P
