Dorchester Kicks Off 2012 Season
 

Dorchester kicks off the 2012 season on Sunday, Feb 26. Gates will open @ 3and we will run until 9. Like always, the first sunday test-n-tune is free to spectate. So, gate admission is absolutely FREE! If you plan on racing, you just have to pay the normal $5 fee. For more info call 843-563-1885.

1st grudge race of the year
 

We will add $200 to the pot of the 1st grudge race of the year. Just get with us before the race takes place. Must let us know before Sunday.

I have the itch to watch some racing.

Ill probably show just wont run yet as the car probably wont be tuned or caged yet. but soon though I just got most of the fuel system stuff in still waiting for a few Y blocks and the filter, they were on back order but have already been shipped. So hopefully they will show and I can get at it.

Nothing is broken. Just not ready. Damn paint shop is busy.

@ schardbody, if the weather is favorable and the turnout warrants us staying open longer we will. It's basically due to the weather(temperature)still being so unpredictable.

Quick question. Are yal going to be enforcing the safety stuff this year? I know towards the end of the year, it was mentioned to get some of the faster cars caged up, jackets, etc..and a helmet rule for everyone..Just wondering.

Yes, we will definitely heighten our safety measures going forward. I'm glad to see some guys have already installed roll cages or in the process of having them installed in thier cars. Honestly, it is one of the best investments a racer can make. When it comes to helmets, jackets and gloves, we will enforce the rules that IHRA mandate. Safety will be our main priority!!

When do we need a cage to be able to run? 7.0 or faster?

7.49 is a 6 point I believe, but I was referring to the 5 second cars with no bars at all, wearing flip flops, a t shirt, and a bicycle helmet.

Actually I think the rollcage requirements have changed this year. Made the times a hair faster because of several factory cars running the times they do. I read it on either the bullet or another board. Supposedly 10.99 in the quarter is when it is required now not 11.49 that it was in the past. I could be mistaken

If i can get the last few things bolted back onto my car and it doesn't leak and actually works (fingers crossed) I was planning on heading out.

had fun watching tonight, needed more heat in the track to get it to work. the crew working the line was doing a good job getting things going when someone was leaking though!

yea, it was a new camaro and a srt8 jeep

That jeep belongs to my boy Zack Terrell, got a blower tune and exhuast. He hurt the transmission on that pass. The 60 was its all time best but it ran .5 seconds slower than its average and its slipping now, so he's going to have it rebuilt and put a stall in that thing.

Did any one see the newer stock malibu rape the green 5.0 fox out there, car needs a serious driver mod.
