For the Gen 2's any tire you can get on a 18" wheel.

I just ordered the Mickey Thompson 18"s

Maybe a little better than yours.

You just spent $7k even though you had a perfectly good motor still in the truck to win $0. :poke:

and of course I'm joking about ordering the tires.

chrisheltra 03-06-2008 08:04 PM

Im probably going to regret this but Im in!

What is the rain date just incase?

Are we racing each other or is this based on timeslips?

:applaud:

It's only 10 dollars it's not like I'm going to win.

Rain date will be the following week.

chrisheltra 03-06-2008 08:12 PM

How is this going to go?

Is it bracket racing? Heads up? How do you determine the winner of the race?

Im confused. lol

Heads up, elimination style.

We pair up, and the winner races the winners of other races until were left with one winner :)

This is my 1st time setting this up, so it won't be perfect.

SVENSONJR 03-06-2008 08:16 PM

Im in...I think trying to race each other is gonna be hard to do, from what i remember. i think time slips would be easier.

That sounds like a lot of fun, I'll have to come watch this!

SVENSONJR 03-06-2008 08:44 PM

Anytime you want to show us a "real' truck throw a few dollars on the table, and ask any of us to race you. :)

I think you should be allowed, as long as you run 18" wheels like the rest of us.

Why don't we all make one "qualifying pass" and pair up like a real race, ie. #1 vs #8, #2 vs #7 and so one. If there is an odd number of trucks, the best reaction time gets a 1st round bye.

chrisheltra 03-06-2008 09:17 PM

This sounds difficult to set up with the staff at dorchester. Maybe Jeff and Dayrl Buckner should talk to them for us?

slowgreen99 03-06-2008 09:19 PM

.

I can weld a tailgate on mine, get some 18's, cut the top of the trunk to make a bed, and "borrow" someones lightning badges so I can run too right?

Mike 03-06-2008 09:20 PM

Larry I agree with the 1 qualifying pass.

It won't be difficult. I'll talk to them next time I'm there to make sure we can do it.

SVENSONJR 03-06-2008 09:21 PM

hell im already lost...mike just tell when to go..lol

KeithCrash 03-06-2008 09:22 PM

Thats ok Mike if I ever get my engine built like you I will be game but until then I will stick to racing the lightnings with just bolt-ons

You might be 1,000 lbs too light also.

My truck is slow as hell for a built truck, you just put a little spray on your truck, and you'll probably walk away from me.

KeithCrash 03-06-2008 09:27 PM

I got more then a little spray but I dont think I will walk away

i think thats a challenge for chris and randy

KeithCrash 03-06-2008 09:31 PM

I already know randy can get me. Not by much but he can get me.

If we get there early, this will be easy. At least we can get a group of trucks together. It's not that cars aren't welcome, but our trucks weigh 4,800 lbs and it will be fun to see who can pedal it the best. I would have loved this format the way my truck was before I put the new motor in.

chrisheltra 03-06-2008 09:47 PM

*peaking through the crack*

Where is Slow04, Slow94, DolSVT00, 05Saleen, Lurch and Richard Head?

*runs and hides*

Mike 03-06-2008 09:52 PM

Bill is out of commision for a little while. The 2 slow boys might have a baseball game to be at.

So I'm with you Chris on the other 3.

chrisheltra 03-06-2008 10:13 PM

I just thought about it I might be tentative. I have 85 boxes (1300 Sq.ft.) of lamanite flooring to install contingent upon when we get the padding for it. Ill keep you updated but for now Im in.

Lets say there are 8 trucks. It should be #1 vs #5 #2 vs #6 and so on that just seems more fare to me. Just my 2 cents worth.

DolSVT00 03-07-2008 08:44 AM

For the non-(built block) guys, I feel the need to desire a bulb or two to make it fair.

Then again I need tires to just have a fighting chance.

I think Mike was talking about letting the stock block guys run with their slicks...

I think that would be fair. I know I would have taken that deal on a stock block vs built motor trucks on drag radials. Mike and I were supposed to do a race like that last year.

Now that would make for some good (bumper to bumper racing)

Ouch! :cry1:

I thought the motor had a spun bearing.

Plus, I only replaced it once. :poke:

chrisheltra 03-07-2008 10:35 AM

+1 stock block guys on slick sound fair. What do you think Mike?

From the looks of it when Randy and I tore it down you were damn close to spinning them on 2 of your rods.

They always run best before they blow. haha I would like to see the bearings that came out of it.
