RoadconeTuning 01-08-2013 06:33 PM

some guys up here went last year and were around barton, sw and those people and said it was a ton of fun. seems to cost about a grand for the week.

1998ta__1991rs 01-08-2013 07:05 PM

rather just go on dragweek

minytrker 01-08-2013 08:13 PM

No way in hell would I drive from SC for it. Hell I dont go every year and its only 2 hours away, lol. Its defiantly different. If your into drag racing then its not for you. If your 18-21 and have rich parents and like to roll race then its your event lol.

Its is "I" not i at he beginning of a sentence and you also left off the period.

It was a joke, but Im guessing you fit into the category or close to it....my point being there is alot of young rich kids there or alot that fit the young rich kid stereotype..

roll racing really? its not that impressive

GreebeanZ28 01-09-2013 04:31 PM

My opinion on watching roll races is that it sucks. Cant see shit, cars way off up in front if you and shit. Unless theres a spot to sit and watch or you are in the car racing, its going to be rubbish. No way around it.

How? It's a contraction, If you're not able to use what it is contracting in its normal form then it isn't correct.

I was looking at "your event" and thought he was speaking about that.

blkscls1z 01-09-2013 04:48 PM

You can set up a car to race any way you want, whether it be for Drag, Drift, Roll, Autocross, Rally etc Hating on a specific type of racing is like saying your brand of car is better than another.

He was talking about this quote:

"Your" is the possessive, which is wrong in this case, "you're" would have been correct. It becomes more apparent when you include what the contraction is hiding: "If you are 18-21..."

Its "If YOU ARE into drag racing....." so its you're. "Your" shows possession as in "Are you taking YOUR badass 5.3 turbo four-eye to TX2K13 this year? I hope YOU'RE planning on turning up the boost cause there are some fast cars out there!

:bigthumb:

I've grown to like it as well. It's easier on the drivetrain, requires little to no chassis/suspension mods, less chance of breaking diff's, clutches, u-joints, driveshafts etc.... But there is that little legal problem:shock:

I've never been to TX2K anything but from what I've notice about their events plan and witnessed on Youtube, they have multiple events for everyone, even "legal roll racing" with a tree. Of course there is also the non-sanctioned events that take place outside of the sponsored event that we also see on Youtube

Long legged gears 3.45:1 FTW...... Now I know why PJ was always so willing to do a roll with his stock geared car :hysterical:

I like it as well, but like Russ said, if you're not in one of the cars racing it is kind of anti-climactic. I would love to ride along in one of those Underground cars, I would probably shit my pants but it would be worth it.

1SMKN99 01-10-2013 12:42 PM

im still waiting for my ride in unabombers gtr when he races neal!
