Yea I know I wouldn't have been in the big leagues but still fun to run out there.. A few friends are taking their supras out there from here in Orlando. 1 made 900 the other made 1100, hopefully they can play with some of the bigger cars on the roll shenanigans

Not as far as I know? I know they are trying to eliminate some of the stuff they don't want at the hotel and such though.

you're talking about the drag strip stuff... thats the smallest part of everything. most people go out there to hang out at the hotel and street race like mofos.

texas is a long drive to hang out and street race. lol

From everything I've heard from friends who have been its a blast if you actually hang out and get to do all the stuff planned.

the street racing is why people go. thats where all of the youtube videos come from. the "event" is part of it but most people go for the street racing and partying.

I hate roll racing.

Having a 5000lb truck, I tend to agree. I can be beat by virtually anything that goes faster than 140 mph from a roll, It may take them longer to catch up depending on what it is, but i know I'll eventually be passed.

However, if you have a fast car, and want to really show it, thats how you do it. Tire's and gear are pretty much out of the picture, your fast or your slow end of story.

There is dig racing there too..

The fast street cars don't do it though, because their transmissions would end up on the pavement.

They just run at the track event....

Lots of cars run on the street and at the track. Some of the track times are off though because some of the cars aernt even flooring them until after 2nd gear.

Maybe if I had something fast I'd like it more, I dunno. LOL.

blue firebird formula would dominate from a dig. would like to see that. lol
and in the roll race event last year he went 167mph with only 16lb of boost.

My favorite still the S2000 that runs 7's at almost 180mph in 1/4 and drives on the street.

Here's a vid of the turdgen. he drove it out there in the rain, ran it, and drove back home. has a mostly stock interior, a/c, radio, power steering, and a wavtrac, no spool. pump gas in the tank.
you can hear it breaking up some before he romps on it, still had some tuning issues.

Thats the thing...you cant actually see shit lol. Like anyone can tell which pair of headlights is out front 200 yards away. Its not a good spectator sport this roll racing.

Actually you can...roll racing takes away the driver mod. Takes away traction issues for the most part etc etc. Don't know too many people who start at 70...40 is better.

It's not as much fun and no it's not a good spectator sport but you will see who's car is faster by taking driver and traction out of the equation. Honestly, that simply isn't up to opinion, it's simply fact.

I personally hate roll racing but watching cars making 1000-2000hp in exotics, domestics and even some of the importd like gtrs and supras is pretty awesome.

They have a track day, road course, street racing, party.. All in 1 weekend....

the GTR and Lambo guys like a 70 roll. but they will run to 230 or 240
