omg 30k?
|
About right, especially with the low miles. Ive seen near stock ones with that mileage go for pretty close to that lately.

Where do you DJ? |
i know you guys like those cars... and i know thats a badass car..... but good god that is a 10 year old car. there has been some top running x275 cars sold for about that much recently.
|
Not all about speed per cash. The car is a collectors item to some folks and they are willing to pay. Only so many real ones are still left and even fewer stock ones left. Now that car being heavily modified isnt so much a collectors item anymore but i can probably pull up 10+ low mileage cobras that have sold for more than they originally sold for 10 years ago recently. I would never pay anywhere near that in fact mine was less than half that price, but for a 10 year old car, most still kbb for 22-30k depending on the miles.
|
love the cars, but i think the mustang enthusiasts have alot of idiots that screw everything up much like barrett jackson ruining classic car values. its like the housing market reincarnated.
before anyone chimes in about being pissed off, I'M NOT SAYING YOU ARE AN IDIOT OR ANY OTHER FORD ENTHUSIAST IS AN IDIOT. just some of them. |

in the early 90's i wanted a '67-68 camaro to be my first car. went and looked at several. found a sweet butternut yellow rs with a 327 for $4,000. got some bad grades in school and wound up pimpin the handmedown '78 cutlass instead. nowadays (post barrett jackson) that camaro would be worth $20k. thus, they can keep that shit. not worth it to me. for that amount i can pick up a pair of mint condition '80s 442s or 4 conquests. lol |
Ugh. That is the car I want one day... butternut yellow 67 w/ a vinyl top!

:eek2: yeah: wanting versus having = :poke: cars are consumables, they just wear out. so if you had had it in high school, it would need a full resto by now..remember that ~15k mile 2nd Gen camaro behind bessingers BBQ? roached out, just by age & sitting out side |
I would buy it lol. Seems like he could have gotten more usable power with a blower, unless he cranks the boost waaaay up I guess.
|
you aint got the cash foo
|
|
Nobody wants to pay 30k for a 04 Cobra like nobody wants to pay 40k for a 06 Z06. Buncha old heaps.

i looked at them long & hard for awhile. a recurring theme was "this car a BRAND NEW REBUILT engine that cost $12/$15K" i mean, like EVERY OTHER ONE had over $10k in engine repairs. just plain scary.. i think that's why that ebay ad talks about the racing heritage....instead of the reliability record... |

Exhaust
-Currently is routed out the front bumper I will be giving the highflow cats from my previous exhaust. do the seats & E-brake knob push it towards too ricy to command high dollar as a "mint" car? |
E-break is MGW which makes interior parts for Corvettes, Camaros, Vipers and Mustangs. Not cheap and have had a lot of their parts on numerous Mustangs. Far from rice in my opinion. Never been a fan of such seats but sure they hold you in place while racing. Curious how loud it is routed out the front bumper, def different.
|
BadBob's car has the exhaust out the bumper, sounds good.
|
I'm a big fan of MGW. Based in Atlanta I believe. And I have Corbeaus in my track car. Not the best but a good bang for the buck.

Shane' s got it right. Mid 90's Supras bone stock with low miles can go for upwards of 40k, they wouldn't be priced so high if people weren't willing to pay that much.
|
I would take a 03-04 cobra over a 5th gen Camaro anyday!
|
Yep, my law partner bought a '93 Supra TT from Gene Reed Toyota. New.
It was an auto but I regret letting him trade it in. Now. |
Supra is a dream car of mine, def timeless.
|
Meh. See one Cobra, seent em all. Lols.

But really, its a following. Some people could line them up with v6 and gts and not know any difference. Different strokes for different folks. There's cars like that on just about every car manufactures list of cars. |
