Anybody else going to Darlington on Sunday for test n tune? I just booked my trailer rental from U-haul, and slicks/skinnies are on, so barring a catastrophe I will be there.

I always thought that it was just come pick them up and take it whenever you want..... damn most of the grudge racers that I see at Dorchester Dragway must be spending a lot of money renting U-Haul trailer they have one every week...:roll:

Weird...he and I have talked before about what his car runs and it was definitely not a 11 second car, nor an "upper 7s". His car should be about the same as the truck.

lol, VCM OTR intake, Powerbond 25% underdrive, SLP headers, midmuffler delete and replaced with x-pipe, obxr axlebacks. internetz claims stock is 365ish and 420-430 with what i have done to the car. i found a post from the previous owner saying it made 414/408 at PCMforLess with the rotofab intake and headers only after a tune.

I've only made one pass in the car and launched wayyyyy slow to make sure it didnt wheelhop. I had literally driven from the tire shop to the track on a set of brand new all seasons. i shifted slower than normal to keep it from hopping as well and it went a 8.7x@86.8 on a 2.29 60-ft before i changed to the better intake, added the under drive and changed the exhaust except for the headers which were on it when i got it.

as horribly slow as that time is... it was a new personal best on all fronts lol... cobalt and mustang both went 9.4@80, i never ran the cobalt once the boost was turned up and it had the bad ass clutch.

well, i got a call from my boss, so now i wont know for sure until Saturday around noonish if i can make it..., but on facebook they said gates open at noon and race till sunset or maybe turn lights on if there are enough cars. ill be leaving the summerville area 10-1030ish assuming i can go...

I didn't see anyone from here up there today. Got a new PB in the truck though which was nice. Had a rough first few runs until I lowered the psi in the tires 10lbs. Still wasn't able to get anything better than a 1.9x 60' on those all season hankooks though lol.

i ended up spending sunday cruising around the charleston area and likely pissing off some people in folly beach with the g8s exhaust lol

You seem to care more about impressing others with the "sound of your exhaust" than racing... :poke:

Darryl and I were there. Track sucked and it was windy as hell and cold.

Ah, I have no idea what you guys drive... I was there from 3-closing though in the black Lightning.

Only lightning there. Hard to miss. Wish I had known, would have came over and said hi. Darryl had his blue notchback there. We were parked right by the staging lanes. Red dually w/red trailer.

I should have posted something here while I was there but didn't think of it. My other buddies with the CTS-V wagon and 2013 M5 were also there but they left much earlier.

Before getting those cars (recently) they owned 2012 Camaro SS (H/C/I) and C6Z....guess they decided to move on into some luxury performance for a while lol.

I was wanting to talk to the guy with the M5. What year is it?

His name is Pat(trick). It's a 2013 and was built in November I think. So far stock. It's an auto V8. I wanted him to get the previous gen V10 6 speed but he refused lol.

I didn't know anyone else had made it up. That was my best run of the day, I'm still adjusting to slicks, and the car needs more dialing in. Ran a 10.29 @ 134 on that pass, and if it didn't bog at the launch and i wasn't floating all over the track I fully believe she has a 9.9x in her... I saw the black lightening, didn't know that was you!!! My buddy got a better video he will have to get me as this was just a cell phone video...
