Can Garuntee it will be less, this dyno scares little boys into hiding.

clubracergt1 04-15-2009 01:48 PM

Mustang dynos do have a habit of frightening the guys just looking for big numbers. I may be game, if my mod is done in time.

My truck barely has enough power to turn the rollers on a dynojet. :) If I brought it out to that Dyno there would probably be a puddle under it when I moved it because it would piss on itself...

SLOWGREEN73 04-15-2009 04:48 PM

The mustang dyno is the only one i have used I dynoed both my Z28's at the show zone.

formgen 04-15-2009 06:18 PM

I might bring my AWD car to this one.

They also have a habbit of not producing the same dyno numbers all the time. The operator of a mustang dyno can mess with to much to control the numbers. A dynojet can load a car just like a mustang dyno.

wsa111 04-28-2009 05:36 PM

Dyno-jet vs mustang dyno

What is the difference in % comparing the dyno-jet to the mustang dyno.

Second is anyone going to open a business using the dyno from LS1 tuning???

Changing dyno's is like apples & oranges.

I wish i could have made it to bowman, but i had some kind of flu or stomach virus for the entire week. ONK-ONK i hope not. Bill:boohoo:

LXtasy 04-28-2009 06:33 PM

I didn't get that many. I have to finish doing the rest. I don't think I got any of yours. I will see. Been too busy. Finally starting back to work tomorrow so I have been doing odds and end stuff.

N/P:bigthumb:

98Camarod 04-28-2009 09:09 PM

I won't be making this unless I find some good electric fans so I can drive the car there.

LXtasy 04-28-2009 09:20 PM

ls1 fans aren't good enough?

They probably would work, but I have 12" pushers that aren't keepin it cool. Thats why I had to trailer it to the rental.

LXtasy 04-28-2009 09:33 PM

what are the cfm's on those fans? what radiator are you running? what water pump?

Yes, a new shop bought my dyno here in the area. They should be up and running in June or so.

Supposed to be 2200cfm a piece, griffin radiator, stock water pump

LXtasy 04-29-2009 04:07 PM

Is your radiator completely sealed on the side your fans are located except where the fans are mounted? that could help cool you down alittle bit better as well. Is your exhaust wrapped? Underhood temps could also be apart of your cooling issues as well. What is your a/f?

All the hot parts are wrapped, I have a turbo blanket, afr is 14.7-15 part throttle, idle, and cruising, its 11.4-11.6 WOT.

I have them as pusher fans so that would restrict the cooling if I blocked them off. The fans just don't blow enough air.

LXtasy 04-29-2009 04:37 PM

are they a 2 speed fan? Can you have them as pullers?

What I was meaning was doing something like this . It might help

http://currentperformance.com/Swap_P...C_Rad_Fans.jpg

98Camarod 04-29-2009 06:40 PM

I didn't even try to fit the fans on the engine side due to the turbo. There is room on the passenger side, but not the driver side.

LXtasy 04-29-2009 06:57 PM

try a staggered maybe. One pusher and one puller. Anything is better than what you have right now correct?

DolSVT00 05-01-2009 08:32 AM

Anybody coming to this tomorrow, I plan on attending.,.

bgstew6 05-01-2009 08:35 AM

what time you rolling Randy.....I will head up there like I said to BS and hang out

clubracergt1 05-01-2009 09:01 AM

Maybe. All depends on if I get my maintenance take care of today, or not.

WTFWSAT 05-04-2009 09:34 AM

Did anyone attend this?

Illusions 05-04-2009 09:38 AM

I think that their dyno hurt some peoples feeling. :hysterical: ...so no one wants to post their numbers. Mine were just above 500 to the wheels.

I was down about 10% compared to a DynoJet, I plan on going back to ShowZone, becuase of the real-world data you get from being on their dyno as opposed to a dyno jet. Nothing like a 10 second dyno pull, to see how high your aftercharge temps get.
