Can you prove the weight? This board is critical on that subject.

The motor looks great.........Get rid of that Carb and get you a Holley or Barry Grant speed demon and you will be set! Edelbrock carbs are nothing buy headach's.

that carb is what we pulled off my truck. ray built a holley for it and we stuck it on my old motor to make sure it was working properly. and sr. when im done i wat for us to compare receipts and see who went faster for less. LS FTW. get gapped

We have a stock 97 LT1 4L60e with 3.42's in a fragile 10 bolt spraying a 75 shot. Oh annd I will not discuss weight because weight doesn't matter when I'm slow anyway. :) Only weight reduction we did was remove the back seat. that was to mount the bottle. we run 10's n/a and 9's with a shot of gas in the 1/8th.

We have the motor pulled currently to get the tranny fixed because it was slipping from I guess too many times trying to get it faster. the tranny couldn't take the tq. And we have to replace an oil pan with one we got at the dyno day that doesn't have a hole in it.

Oh I did install a Bravada guage cluster that goes to 120mph and will be getting the intake powdercoated. maybe that will make it go faster. :roll:

i know what the black truck weighed on the same inaccurate scales i always use. and that was with the all cast headed iron block. you need to have it at the track for svt day like we will. i want to get gapped by that truck. i got a bottle if u wanna use it. i know i will.

the truck wont be done by then because i still gotta get my tahoe fixed this week that set me back a little bit. we can try something when i get done though. im in no hurry. i took the dash out a few minutes ago and the wiring made my head hurt. im taking a break now
