matt, see if you can get Tyler to post up a pic of that S-10 behind the barn :( that's really something to see :poke:
i will give you guys this view....if i get it re-assembled... |
Tyler... should I change the rear panel back to the factory color or what? Figured I would ask you since you will be looking at it alot. :poke:
John, looks like you got a good start going there! Do you plan on having the car out next season? |
Not that I would ever see it, but I will tell you again: Change the rear panel back to factory color.
factory color but while were on the subject who knows how to get the gmc off my tailgate?
hot glue gun?
EDIT: LMFAO... what was I thinking about, arts and crafts?! A heat gun should work. |
how in the hell would that do it?
Is it a decal or an emblem?
i would see if you can lift a corner.
maybe you can pul it off a heat gun would make the glue loosen up. use some carb cleaner to get the gummy off. we got the old Nova around the block and it ran good with the new carb. next season is looking good. it has a LOT of loose ends to tie up |

Im worried about the RCF about as much as i am global warming.......
its a decal |
if it's a decal then do it with a plastic razor blade... yes they make them. Or give me $20 and I will take car of it.
i still love that wild green motor''''' :bigthumb:
thanks again it oughta be alive soon
its not a decal.
if you want bring it by the house and I can see what i can do.
its an emblem sr you think you might can still help? once its up and going i needa bring it by anyways
I can if its not bolted on. if its just pressed on with 3m tape I can remove it and clean the glue off too. If the tailgate was painted before then it may need to be touched up where the emblem use to be. it would still be the old paint behind it obviously.
drive it to bennys

No... what if you need to take the pinstripe or dealership sticker off of a car and you don't want to gouge the clear?
I have 4 years of auto detail under my belt... I know the tricks. |
Guess I'd never really thought about it, is all. And I've never had anything worth caring about the paint on, to be honest.
You can use dental floss, plastic squeegee, plastic razor blade which is like the plastic squeegee or fishing line. all will remove the emblem. for removing pinstriping and other graphics I have a vinyl removing wheel that will not harm the paint.
For the glue you can use "goof off" but in a very well ventilated area. Or you can use adhesive remover thats found in the sign industry too. I have all of the above. |

I have always used 3M adhesive remover. Also works great on removing VHT/rubber off of the quarter panels.
