Bowman/Carolina Track Rental???
 

Ive been thinking about the last track rental that CHP did at Bowman and how much fun it was. Im speaking for myself obviously, but I think we had a damn good turnout and it was a very nice atmosphere for family and kids to tag along.

With that being said, I am very anxious to see if anyone would be interested in doing another CHP track rental at either Bowman or Carolina dragway. Bowman worked out very well, but with a lot of people wanting to do a 1/4 mile, I am curious to see if people would rather head to Carolina.

Anywho, I suck at getting things set up in stone, but my idea was either March 13th, 20th, or 27th. That would give everyone (myself included) adequate time to get everything straightened out on their cars or even put a car together! :hide: The weather should be pretty nice then too to run a good number, because it SHOULD be kind of cold out still.

Possibly throw in a 100% payback bracket race just for fun, have some good E-thug grudge matches, or just come out to have some fun and make passes or just hang out.

Just figured id throw it up and would love to hear/see suggestions and opinions on what people would like to do to make another track rental happen!

sounds good to me but the 27th is not a good weekend for me. I'll be at emerald coast dragway outside of pensacola florida at a s10 nationals running the soccer mom's suv.

I hope to have mine done by then. Ordered my headers yesterday.

I'm out for the 27th. Golf tournament.

how about the 20th then? or possibly one of the two first Saturdays in April? Im trying to beat the heat.

:hysterical: Not if it's in April. I'll be leaving mid March. I'm hoping to get out to Bowman one of these Saturday's in December though.

Bob, I really don't plan on running for money I'm broke and the wife just got us a higher car payment. BTW, if you are on a 225 shot I don't have a chance.

is the bracket race going to be two class FOOTBRAKE AND PRO, or you just running them together,

I was gonna say just a gambler race type deal. Maybe give the entry fee back at least to the footbrake car that makes it the farthest if a footbrake car doesnt win.....seems fair to me.

Either way, lets get a date set in stone then worry about events that we want to make happen.

The problem with carolina is to get the cost within reason, the reason why me and my friend from work set it up at bowman was cost. The guys at bowman are reasonable and nice enough to make it happen, we tried dorchester and midway and carolina, it would have cost over 5000$ and even more for one of them.

Just let me know and if i dont have a points race i will be there

Wow Dorchester cost 5 grand?? Darlington Dragway is alot closer than Carolina Dragway and easiers on the gas tank. IMO

I spoke to Tony when I went to the SVT race in Rockingham. It wasnt for that reason, Rockingham is 5000.00 also for a rental, so it beats me why they changed..:bigthumb:
