March True Street

Post up if you plan on running the True Street class or the tow rig class.

Will be held on the same day as Top Dog at the same track.

No discussion, just post "true street" and add "Tow rig" if you want to run that class as well.

Participation will determine if we do these two or not.

1. Must drive to the track. No trailers allowed.
2. Must RACE on DOT approved tires. If it has a DOT approval, you can run it.

Tire changes are allowed, but only to a DOT approved tire.

This is what most of us pretty much agreed on Sat night at D's. Breaking down was also brought up. Im going to be at every event. So I am volunteering my truck and trailer. It will be at the events every time, and it holds two cars.

From what I gathered last night the consensus was to keep it at Bowman. My personal feelings are that last year we tried Dorchester and couldnt make it through our list, we just cut the night short. Dorchester is just crowded. Every time we went to Bowman we were able to finish with day light to spare.

Can I get in the tow rig class too?

Need 10 cars to make this worth while.

If we cant get 10 before the end of February then we will cancel true street and move everyone over to Top Dog.

Matts94Z28 02-24-2011 01:04 AM

Count me in on true street, but I will not be able to attend the first race.

+1 ....

Darryl Buckner 03-09-2011 10:54 AM

Yea. I am probably out unless I can get Tara to drive my Dodge, cause she has experience with dually's and 6 speeds. Mustang is out due to no AC, plus the motor is still on the stand..:bigthumb:

It doesn't need ac, just get the motor back in it and have Cory drive it there.

I'll drive anything :bigthumb:

(Though it would be hard to drive the 2 tow rigs down at the same time ;) )

If he drives I would have to put him in the top dog class, due to no competition in the true street class..:hysterical:

WTF man? Way to be a Debby Downer....:hysterical:

Darryl Buckner 03-09-2011 04:11 PM

Well I don't mean to be, but it will fun 6's on drag radials, and even my 16 year old has drove it that fast already. I will have to see when I get the motor back in, talk about wiring issues, that car had lots of them..

Well if it turns a no go you could always just recognize the highest finishing street ride" meaning they fit in the rules of true street" on the reg top dog list.
