This is just Matt's excuse for this weekend. He may start being an air show groupie so he wont ever have to spray his car.

Yeaaahh, that was a good try! If you want my car to be shot so bad, come work on it! You can take it for the weekend. :bigthumb:

LXtasy 04-06-2011 10:51 PM

6.20's and smoking like a chimney lol

ShawnBoyMoody 04-06-2011 11:23 PM

Well I think I may have fixed my traction issue. The rear shocks were bottoming out when I launched the car. I had moved the stock shock mounts up before I cut the rear springs, so after I lowered the car the shocks where suddenly too short. Picked up a new set of shock mounts from LKQ at lunch, cut the old ones off tonight and put the new ones back in the stock location. Car squats now. Im ready to give it another try!

Yep, car went 6.90 with a 1.46 60 ft time. Totin the left front, and you KNOW I'm happy bout that lol. I attribute the good sixty ft at about 70 percent track prep and 30 percent to the work I did to the rear suspension earlier in the week.

Besides the well prepped track the whole facility was top notch. Clean, friendly, and well organized. Well worth the extra drive. Three thumbs up.:bigthumb::bigthumb::bigthumb:

Your not running a thermostat now and it is running warm?

Yeah. At highway speeds. I'm thinking the water is circulating TOO fast without the thermostat and not staying in the radiator long enough for proper cooling?

Thoughts?

You need to run a thermostat. Gives the radiator time to cool the water. I used to run one without a thermostat and it never cooled properly. At the track it is different. Driving on the street you need a thermostat.
