Major rumor I heard about Lowcountry dragstrip
I dont remember who it was but at dorchester this weekend someone swore up and down that someone bought the land that the old track was on and they were going to put a new one there. Brandon was standing right there and heard it to. I know this is wishful thinking but is there any truth to this?

They have already started building a development where the track used to be, so I really doubt what you heard is true.
True about the development, but I think it's nothing but streets.

The latest rumor I heard was the old owners of Lowcountry bought Midway and are opening it back up under another name. It would be nice if its true..
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see midway/greasyville open back up. But domit man...not this again.....been hearing this for ever...somebody actually say something when they make a hit...
That reminds me. They are building a track 3 miles off shore in the ocean, they are starting work on the long ass wooden pier that you get to it on........ |

One of the things I heard from an old Berkeley County farmer was the funniest thing I heard. I don't know if its true or not. I heard that the race track area has been a race track since the early 1900's, and a horse track prior to that, and that the soil was so saturated with oil, and other chemicals, that the area couldn't be cleaned up enough to build residential homes. So the funny thing is the homes around the track managed to run off the track, but can't do anything with the land now. I don't know.
I know your right about the track, and horse track, probably about all the crud also.
But the great news is.......they are clearing the land for the track 3 miles of shore, and bringing in a bunch of jap scientist to figure out the best way to start building the wooden pier |
Its not supposed to be a wooden pier, they are building a road like the one going to the Florida Keys. Oh and they were going to power the little race track island with a nuclear reactor cooled with salt water also..:bigthumb:
Lmao now that's what's up
Can you say nuclear tail winds baby. Maybe we can even get some new mutated fish that looks like rich fin flapping christienson to do a gill drop live
Call it the home of the hurricane national, if you survive you win..:bigthumb:

i thought it was the BS. or was it the seagulls flying around ??
both ways your getting dumped on '' |
This Just IN!!!!!.....
Little green (radiated) Jap men storm out of meeting with head US officials in regards to the Off Shore Dragstrip. The reports are still flying in, but Something about how building stuff in the middle of the ocean has already been done and the Nuke thing is getting old. So they are now jumping ship and headed to the moon to comence negotiations with the Marvin the Martian, about building a strip on the Moon!!!!. In a text messg intercepted by one of the US's snooping scouts from Marvin it mentions something about a new power source. This messg also has hints of a new engine design, and something about dark matter and tackion wave particles. This power source could be good news due to VP's solvent based fuel prices shooting up due to supply and demand. (We demand it, they supplying it at premium $$)(( one part laqer thinner, 2 parts paint thinner, 1part clorox, and 3 parts ammonia, and food coloring for the various colors)) This is all we have for now, hope to have more later as it arrives by various anonomus sources. :bigthumb::hysterical::hysterical: |

Thanks. |
They are out of NC and payed straight cash money for the place. Supposed to be open by the end of the month, first of next month. Also something about a new tower and yada yada. Everything you said Freddy and a bunch more that I have heard. But I still say let me know when somebody actually makes a hit...The grass was supposed to be cut about 2 months ago with activity going on...guess what I rode out there and nothing...soo.....ehh tell me when you smell smoke, cuz I'll be the first sitting at the gate waiting to make a hit.

^^ that was not one of my lil green jap mars light year track kicks. That is real, Everything Freddy posted is the "new hotness rumor", so I just figured I would add the place of location and what I was told that goes with it all.
EPA = locked the fawk down. That place won't open.
i have never understood why they didn't make the previous owners clean up their mess, or clean it up and charge them for it. does anyone know why? it just doesn't seem right to make the new owner responsible to clean it up and pay while the previous owner runs off and he causes it.
the epa cares nothing about who did it just who is going to pay.
What freddy says is true. With that being said the previous owner should be held responsible since he allowed it to go on. Wasnt the new owner notified of the problem he was buying. Sounds shady as hell to me.
