Think this might give me some issues?

ForceFed4g63 06-07-2011 12:26 PM

That's pretty damn dark. I've never had issues with cops and tint locally, but that is really dark lol. Are those covers or nightshade?

Matts94Z28 06-07-2011 12:29 PM

That's real automotive paint and clear.

bwelch 06-07-2011 12:29 PM

Stay out of North Charleston during the day and you will be ok!

Illusions 06-07-2011 12:33 PM

you just need the black decal with the blue stripe and they will leave you alone.

Haha. Want to make me one?

PapaBear 06-07-2011 12:41 PM

I can probably get you one Matt. But if asked about it, and you can't provide info, they get pretty upset about it. Not supposed to be abused like that. My tails are pretty dark, and drive from S'ville to North Charleston every day, never had a problem. Had some looks, but never a problem.

PapaBear 06-07-2011 12:44 PM

Not as dark as yours, especially not at this angle, but they are really dark in the daytime.

EDIT: That's niteshades. Can look good if done right.

04ctd 06-07-2011 12:49 PM

i would think as long as the CHMSL is not tinted, you are ok.

i was behind an idiot who did all three lights, driving into the sun, in stop & go traffic, and i could not tell when he was stopping unless i stared at his lights.

False. I have the front license plate and I got a window tint ticket in North Charleston! They drop it cause I stripped the tint. Its back 5% though and I'm getting 35% put on the windshield soon.

I just tell my uncle works for the opposite county of the one I'm pulled over in. :hysterical:

it was a friggin joke.

it just seems all the vehicles i see with the "thin blue line" are abusing the traffic laws and due to profession courtesy they get away with it.

chrisheltra 06-07-2011 05:03 PM

Matts94Z28 06-07-2011 09:14 PM

Matt im going to rear end you with the integra then blame it on your taillights. Hope you got good insurance, sucka.

Stfu

It's illegal, so you pay to play, but I don't think my tails could be any darker and I haven't had problems. If you see the 5 oh behind you, just turn your lights on.

Also, you forgot to white out your plate in the 2nd picture posted. I see you did it to your first one. Just a heads up.

Matts94Z28 06-07-2011 11:36 PM

Thanks for the input! I actually had 3 cops behind me today, no issues. Hopefully it won't be too bad. However, if there is an issue, I can just put the stockers back in.

I did it in the first picture because it was posted on another forum, which is national. Most of you guys would see my plate at SSS anyhow, so I did not bother this time.

csikx 06-07-2011 11:39 PM

Do you have any other plans for it?

Matts94Z28 06-07-2011 11:43 PM

I would like to put a pedders 2/4 lowering kit on it sometime soon. I have also considered throwing another muffler on it, but I am hesitant since it's nice to have something quiet to ride around in.

PapaBear 06-08-2011 04:46 AM

Lights don't look bad with lights on. I would say not too dark.

I know exactly what you mean. I say yes to the lowering and no to the muffler. :)
