Matts94Z28 07-23-2011 05:55 PM

Not sure, I didn't get that far. I would assume Iron.

LXtasy 07-23-2011 06:49 PM

chrisheltra 07-23-2011 06:59 PM

Wonder if you can fit that motor in a miata?

bwelch 07-23-2011 07:13 PM

yeah its been done before

chrisheltra 07-23-2011 07:16 PM

fawk

Sounds like it would be a fun car to drive. That and an 6.0 RX7.

rx7 is has an auto :)

Silver-Dollar 07-23-2011 08:33 PM

I like the side view. Front is tolerable. Seat inserts are terrible.

03SVTCOBRA 07-23-2011 09:49 PM

good thing they are putting those slow motors in the police cruisers, now everyone at sss might have a chance to get away. Except for the ricers of course.

MonteC 07-23-2011 09:51 PM

I wonder how it will stack up track wise against the police chargers.

csikx 07-23-2011 10:38 PM

No thanks... I'll keep my Charger.

Matts94Z28 07-23-2011 11:20 PM

Charger killer.

If it runs like a g8, then oh yeah. Fuckers in a charger got a whole boat load of grandpa ugly passing them by.

csikx 07-24-2011 12:12 AM

Charger is plenty sufficient. We aren't chasing modded F-body's, L's and Corvettes.

Its a cop car, they could be driving an aveo and be fine. Like Chris said, cant out run Motorola. Look at the shit they drive in other countries.

I dont know what Chevy is trying to do, Chargers already have a solid foot hold in the 4 door rear wheel drive category, I saw an unmarked one the other day. I thought I heard the the crown Victoria is getting dumped by Ford.

Mustang seems to be the choice for 2 door interceptor type cars. Saw a bunch in New England.

I dont now how the contracts work, or how long they last. I would assume chevy would need to make these cars quickly and cheaper to get precincts to buy them over the Charger?

With the absence of the Crown Vic its going to either the Charger or the Caprice, or both?

355hp 384ft lbs tq and 10.4:1 compression ratio. Not a bad starting platform for using as a motor swap i suppose. 87 octane too. 6speed automatic transmission.

I can see these cars in the future with some heavy mods racing at local tracks.

gearmesh, inc. 07-24-2011 08:53 AM

Here's a sick thought for ya: Just wait until some of these go to police auctions in a few years. You're going to see them all hooptited up with the big 24s. :hysterical:

Q: Ever wonder why retired police cars are so popular with the hoodrat crowd?

A: They always wanted to know what it was like to ride in the front of one for a change! :hysterical:

Matts94Z28 07-24-2011 06:49 PM

I like the regular version of it. It's just a G8.

The Lumina SS is nice as well.
