Let the record show.

That Joe O'saben called me out to a 3 mile foot race. He picked the terms. I agreed and we raced.

Not only did I put bus lengths on him, I put actual MILES on him.

I wont disclose what his actual timed mile was. :hysterical:

chrisheltra 09-01-2011 10:00 PM

lol most people think its easy to run that far.

Im at 2 miles every other day and plan on bumping it up a notch when it cools down and the humidity comes down.

98Camarod 09-01-2011 10:01 PM

I hate running. I know I've ran more miles than I ever care to know.

Matts94Z28 09-01-2011 10:03 PM

Hahaha!! I wish I could have seen this.

Me too

I hate running, therefore I try to avoid it. I ran a mile the other day on the treadmill and thought I was going to die. Oh how out of shape I've gotten since ROTC in HS.

I have a head and chest strap for mine! That would have been priceless. We could have got Joe's pain in stunning HD!

Matts94Z28 09-01-2011 10:32 PM

What were the terms? My hired runner (Lisa) would own you.

Ya Rolodex that shit, queer.

Tell lisa to give me 6 months and we can run.

Joe said he could walk as fast as my timed mile (between 10 and 11 minutes). That was the call out. I said ok then lets race, meet me at the gym. Well he doesnt like running on treadmills, I said ok then gahagen track. No he needs scenery. He wanted to run in Iron Gate (his neighborhood). The street he lives on is a big circle and is just a tad over a mile. So we agreed on three laps. I drive over to HIS house and ran HIS race.

He guaranteed me that he would run less than a 10 minute mile, and that he was sure he could run all three and do it faster than me. :hysterical:

I asked for the time, then said GO, and I never saw him again.

Matts94Z28 09-01-2011 10:46 PM

Bahahaha!!

http://onlinepersonaltrainingvideobo...fat-runner.jpg

Lisa said bring it. She said she can knock down 5m in less than hour as a warm up.

Lisa and I are going to do it. I need to start running this weekend. It's going to be hell trying to get back into it.

98Camarod 09-02-2011 05:08 AM

I'm fat and I can run a 11 min mile and a half. We run 3 5k's a week and I'm usually done in about 25-26 mins.

It's all about breathing. That and not drinking the night before hahaha

I have ran the bridge before and it sucks! Running across it intially wasnt bad, but coming back across up that long steep hill had me wanting to say fuck this and jump off.

25-26 minutes should be faster than an 11.5 minute mile.

My first goal is 185lbs and less than 30 minute 5k. I pretty close to getting under 30 minutes, but ive still got 15lbs to go.

When is it? I've been wanting to do that for a while.

My best 5k so far was 20 min something. It's all mental. I just focus on the person in front of me and say I'm not gonna let them beat me.

MonteC 09-02-2011 07:36 AM

I disagree that running is all mental. Ask joe. lol

CPTNSLOW 09-02-2011 08:52 AM

Well, I guess the time is mental. He'll no, it's physical fo sho

AverageJoe 09-02-2011 09:19 AM

I'm about 40lbs heavier than last time I ran, which was about 14yrs ago. I'm going to keep running and try to get that 40lbs off. I really didn't think I could possibly be as slow as I was. 14 min mile:roll:

ForceFed4g63 09-02-2011 09:25 AM

Damn I'm fatter than most of you guys and I would smoke an 11 minute mile lol

It's really not that hard, if you could run a sub 8 minute mile I would be more impressed.
