Rumor has it they are getting IHRA certified and they are making some improvements. Buts thats just hearsay.

I wasnt sure if the retaining walls would pass for IHRA sanctioning. Either way, Bowman is a great track and they care a lot about opinions of the racers.

Yes we plan to open Saturday if the weather is good .Everyone IHRA came by the track a few week ago and did and inspection and said we had to do a few minor things and we could be sanction .

KRYPTONITE 01-24-2012 08:52 AM

Ronald, Glad to hear that, what about the length of the track,

Ronald 01-24-2012 10:12 AM

If all goes well this year we hope to all some more shutdown .The amount they want to do the job we have to get more revenue comming in.

KRYPTONITE 01-24-2012 10:20 AM

sounds good that would help alot,, nothing against the track but more shut down would help

Carlrx7 01-24-2012 01:56 PM

i love my big brakes, 120 trap and can still make first turnoff. Booya

Ronald 01-24-2012 05:39 PM

Question we have 1320 ft .of shut down how much more feet do i need ?

Pesce Nero 01-24-2012 07:35 PM

i believe it was Mike that posted track lengths one time and Bowman was a good bit shorter than all the others.

what did IHRA say about the walls? if i may make a suggestion, i know it would be very expensive to frame and pour new walls but i was thinking if you bolted metal guardrails to the top half of your barriers i believe it would bounce a car back into the lanes insted of the car climbing the wall.

and it wont be like metal rails bolted to wood posts that fold over. just a thought. could be much safer for everyone
