LSX coil mounts

Are there any alternatives to mounting the coils on the LS car besides the valve covers?

From the site:

The brackets are universal and custom length wires can be made to accommodate any vehicle. Now with all new Stainless steal brackets

Nice

i am a fan of valvecover mounted coils. they arent in the way, plug wires are nice and short, power wires for coils are nice and short, and plug wires wont be flopping around burning on the headers.

Digs... what you've got to realize is these LS powered cars are show cars... and you hide things on show cars.

Holley makes coil pack covers.

FYi. Joker will be putting these on an LT1. NOT an LS so valve cover mounts are out. He is getting rid of the optifail.

Correct this is going on an LT1 but the valve covers I have are custom made and I dont think the rails will fit it.

Their bracket seems like it mounts to their valve covers, the picture you posted is mounted to the intake manifold. I want to get the mount to the intake manifold.

LXtasy 09-07-2012 10:50 AM

Will verify with dad what bracket that is. The ltcc site says that was old design

Joker 09-07-2012 12:04 PM

I gotcha, the more I think about it, I might go with that first one that was posted under the cowl and comes with the wires.

Now I need coils, anyone?

got the coil brackets made. these arent perfection, but they are very lightweight and functional for this car. -which is a racecar.
i also shortened his LT1 specific taylor plug wires to use again.
