Well,Conway freight in n. chas. is a big joke...They didnt have anyway possible to get the lift onto my car trailer.. They have no ramp,so i asked them to put the lift and a forklift into a trailer with a liftgate and get it on the trailer that way...But they are not allowed to put the forklift on the ground. So if you dont have a semi trailer there is no way to get anything that requires a forklift..Now Benpak calls southeastern freight to come get it and let me go there and put it on the trailer, but apparently no LTL carrier will go to another's dock for any reason.... So i guess the lift is gonna go back to california to be reshipped by another carrier....I just cant believe how wastefull that is.....

slowgreen99 10-26-2012 03:04 PM

fuck that! We can move shit like that. Its a PITA, but Conway is a joke, and we move other LTL carriers freight all damn day.

That doesn't make sense. Have them bring it back to the warehouse where it was shipped to. Call up another trucker and they should be able to deliver it for you, won't be cheap though.

slowgreen99 10-26-2012 03:19 PM

it came from cali via conway...

I highly doubt that the truck that brought it was delivering his and only his shipment. There were other shipments that were brought to a CFS warehouse at some point in the region. This is what I do for a living lol.

It would work but it would be hell to unload

maybe you need a new occupation? Conway picked it up or a partner carrier, from cali....they have it at there terminal in N. Charleston now, and they have no way to further move it....do you really want to argue movement of freight with me? Damn, sit back and suck it up...you dont know everything...sorry bud.

What about a roll back, any roll back with a wheel lift should be able to do it, lift the ass end up to dock level and winch pallet on to the deck or any medium/heavy duty chassis rollback can do it then winch off the rollback onto your trailer, shouldn't cost any more than 60 or 70 bucks and should only take about 20 mins at most, in the rental business we did it on a regular basis

slowgreen99 10-26-2012 03:53 PM

rollback is probably the best bet anyway. You can drop that bitch right where you need it at the shop too lol.

bwelch 10-26-2012 03:55 PM

rollback would be expensive unless he knows somebody....He is going from North Charleston to BFE

BlackSheep 10-26-2012 03:55 PM

Very true, and they'll prolly enjoy the trip out to east bumblefuck :)

slowgreen99 10-26-2012 03:56 PM

They can drop it on his trailer in the trucking companies parking lot

The only way they would ship it all the way back to Cali is if it was a privately owned warehouse that has a weird policy of not letting other trucking companies pick anything up. Not going to argue with you, been doing this every day for 3 years bud.

Chevyman I would recommend you contact Zoom, they should be able to pick it up and drop it off for you no problem.
